One name. Oliver GildartI’m one of those who thinks they aim a bit higher than sub par first graders like Brent Nadan. He isn’t even on the radar to make our 17. Why would he be on the Roosters?
Would love but do not think we could get away with thatThat’s a lot more realistic. No loans though. Just get rid of him.
I don’t think other clubs would even see any value in him on a loan deal. I cannot believe the club was stupid enough to give him a four year deal on a good chunk of change. Absolute lemon.Would love but do not think we could get away with that
The club that let their best prop go because they thought they had Ben Hunt signed might.I don’t think other clubs would even see any value in him on a loan deal. I cannot believe the club was stupid enough to give him a four year deal on a good chunk of change. Absolute lemon.
Ron Broderick's Spirit. Cool call sign. He had it tough at Wests. But his name is folklore.Same Roosters that Junior Pauga has been getting a run at?

Big call. Lindsay Collins and Spencer Leniu might have something to say about that. The club that let their best prop go because they thought they had Ben Hunt signed might.
Just imagine the media beatdown if Wests were that incompetent.
if Taylan were able to return to the NRL, it wouldn’t be until April earliest. his court date is in March.Fingers crossed, centres this season will be Olam and May, with T'oa, Fataape and AD backing up. Risking a kid isn't going to come at any great benefit. 2026, he's still only 18, still young for an NRL debut.
That’s enormous pressure to put on the kid, comparing him to long-time internationals in multiple codes. Here he is next to Royce Hunt as a guide. Short answer, no. He's a beast, particularly for a 17 year old.
I'm loathe to make comparisons between players, particularly after that type of thing has burnt tigers fans in the past, but names such as Folau, Inglis and even Lomu have come up in early observations of him.
My take is that physically, he'll be more than ready by the time he's 18. Not to dominate, but to handle the occasion. He has crisp hands, is incredibly hard to handle in contact, can leap with the best of them and has more than enough toe, especially considering his size. My only concern, if there is one, is that he's always been a physical specimen, so I can see him taking some time to settle into first grade before we see him really take off. Mainly due to the NRL being full of other physical specimens that are also fully grown men. I often think of Timoko and Penisini here, not in playing style, but in terms of taking a while to find their feet in the top flight. But I've got no doubt that he will be incredible to watch develop and grow.
He'll do some special things.
To be honest, I'm not the authority here, as there are several, other quality posters with a far more detailed pickup on many of our juniors, namely @BlackWhiteGold and @jrtiger. But there are several others too who can break down his strengths in greater detail than I, I'm sure.

Well said. I’m gunna be using that one.Proper apprenticeships builds stronger professionals.
Yeah, but instant gratificationWhy rush Makasini let the young man concentrate on his school next year as i believe he is in year 12 let that be his priority. Yes the kid has a lot of potential but let's be smart and proactive in his development.
We did let our, (so-called), best prop go, and then we were patient and benefited from the rorters poor management. It’s crazy, usually goes the other way and yeah we would be reamed by every masthead in town. The club that let their best prop go because they thought they had Ben Hunt signed might.
Just imagine the media beatdown if Wests were that incompetent.
No one is pushing for it. Why keep repeating it?Yeah, but instant gratification
Is this kid as good as Suali. All the talk im heaing is that he is. if Roosters with all there talent play an 18yr old why wouldnt we with our limited depth. Mate been watching this game for over 60yrs. Bullshit theory and one you couldnt possibly make unless your on the staff. Good enough , old enough. What are your going to put an age bracket what is it? 18 and 9 months , 19. .Didnt do Fittler, Brasher and many others to badly.. Leave that to the people in the know and the people that work with him on a daily basis., not us professionals behind keyboards,Impatience usually...
No he shouldnt get any first grade this year.
I bet he does though....
It’s weird that you haven’t been reading what’s been written. Even by yourself. When I say “he’s 17. Just give the kid time. No need to rush him”. And that’s met with “well why not”, and how 5 other players are used as examples of players who have debuted at an early age, and just completely refuse to accept 25 could be too soon for him, that’s what I mean by instant gratification. No one is pushing for it. Why keep repeating it?
lol not sure if you’re joking , but I think they’re representing the 3 areas we serve . Wests , Balmain and group 6 .Hi all. Not sure if previously discussed here or elsewhere. But I do love the training tops. Look great! Just looking at the 3 tigers, does each one represent a spoon?
