Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

If he is found guilty hopefully he is never let back in the nrl but I think he would at least get a 1 year ban + at least. Really good player that would elevate the team but at some point you have to draw the line with off field issues like that.
It was interesting to hear Terrell May comments re his brother and his state of mind.

If guilty and get 1 yr ban would that include his time out of the game so far ? .
If so would we take him ( New management etc , or do we think there is a deal in play when Trel signed on

Pretty sure they don't backdate time away from the
game for serious breaches if he's found guilty.
They do that in jail when you're on remand awaiting
court, if found guilty he would have missed 2 seasons.

I think he's a shoe in when & if he's found not guilty —
It was %100 brought up in the meeting before T
signed, benjis 1st words to him were "how's the family"

It doesnt define them though, very narrow minded of one if it does

You used to see Hodgo talked about and it was always the Tallis incident, it BS
I guess the point of difference on those three occasions is that Hodgo didn’t have much say in Tallis manhandling him and Heighno should never have been put in that situation.
Juniors was a brain fade (and haven’t we all had one of those ?) at the most inopportune time. Have to say though, he has recovered very well from that incident to make a real contribution at Easts.

People compared Brooks to Johns too.

My point is, I wanna see it before putting pressure or expectations on a kid.
People compare blokes coming through all the time, it’s human nature. I don’t reckon Big Mak, (he needs Maccas sponsorship asap), is reading the WTF is see what @Kelce68 reckons, and if he is, then he’s got issues. What is important, is the people around him, the people Big Mak respects and listens to, that they are not telling him he’s the next Folou or Inglis.

Love ya work @Kelce68, you too Bags.

What about his baby face, he looks 15 until you pan back and realise that head is atop of a small mountain.

Looking at who is potentially available for the upcoming season it'd be amazing if we could convince the Rorters to do a season swap of Sullivan (they need a half) and Suia Wong (we need a 2nd rower). Benefits both teams IMO

It would be nice but it would be a very very remote chance imho

love the idea but I think Siua will be a big part of their plans next year.

looks as if their plan is to give guys like Wong, Whyte, Robert Toia and De La Salle Va'a the chance to develop in first grade and become regular fixtures before they push for another title tilt in 2026.

Whyte is more than twice the player Wong is. At least I assume that's what they mean when they say two Wongs don't make a Whyte.

Anyway, back on topic - the problem with shifting Sullivan is his contract. The Roosters might need a half this year but there's no way they'd be thinking Sullivan would still be in their plans in 2026-27. I guess if they were absolutely convinced there was still upside there, they might think he was a chance to justify a roster spot as a backup further down the track, but there's no way in hell even the best case scenario for Sullivan is good enough for the Roosters to think he's a medium term solution as a starter.
