Couldn't agree more. When contacted by the membership team I replied with a very clear email asking them not to contact me again until the Independent Directors were in place and the findings of the review implemented in full.
I was quite scathing, but made it very clear that it wasn't directed at the membership team, nor Richo and his crew who I believe are doing their best for the club. I did specifically name Romero and Burgess and every time Ive felt maybe it's getting close to signing up something like this comes out which makes me bloody relieved that I haven't.

if you are a GENUINE Tigers fan, then how can you endorse any proposal that involves winding up the club? That’s crazy talk..,

The NRL is going to have to step in and tell them to pull the owners heads in, and if they don’t comply, then force them to sell the club …. Im assuming the NRL would need to sign off on any name change of the club .., so they should put out a statement that it’s not happening …

How many times does the NRL need to step in and reorganise the board?
How many times do the fans need to take a petition asking them to get it together?

Tom you will note in my post it is not my preference! Whilst it is sad that Balmain cannot contribute with the dollars, the joint-venture was always going to be in trouble when the finances could never be shared equally. Wests Ashfield have exploited their financial majority (ever so subtly) for sometime, and now there is an imbalance in what should be an equal partnership between Balmain and Wests. I don't believe it can ever get back to a true joint-venture (with the dominance of Wests Ashfield) and hence my desire for the NRL to step in and bring in independent administrators for at least 5 years and finally get the club growling. I repeat this current set-up is a FAILED joint-venture.
PS: Wests MAGPIES died with the Balmain TIGERS over 24 years ago and it is now the Wests Tigers.

mate .. I can understand your frustrations… but you know you can just choose to walk away if you want … I doubt anyone would blame you … the team doesn’t need to die though ,,.that’s a very final step ….i would prefer some kind of existence that might change one day rather than just closing the joint down.. as far as I’m concerned , that’s not even on the table

Totally agree. Im getting to the stage where I dont want to see any reference to Wests / Tigers. I love both originals but Im sick of the infighting - Im warming to something Richardson said lately- Outlaws or Bushrangers (prob more approp to Oz). Dont get me wrong Im extremely happy with Wests Tigers and Magpies in the KOE but if this keeps up my loyalty to the brand is diminishing

I doubt the ARL would sell the “Tigers” brand outright. They may allow its use under certain circumstances.
 
I'm over it. Boards cant function properly if they are not all pulling in the same direction. On the back of a good off season and some level of excitement for the long suffering fans, these sort of reports just crap all over us again and make you question how much more garbage they expect us to remain connected to.
