HI would love it if the nrl let the magpies change thier name , only to issue a wests tigers license to an independent third party . Thats honestly what they should do. Maintain the rights to the wests tigers franchise , and piss off Balmain and wests .
It’s litterally the only answer . This is beyond stupid . The nrl would never grant this …. It’s not happening .

Honestly anyone who thinks the continuation of HBG as owners of the wests tigers is a good thing has lost thier mind .
Wests Magpies has zero future as an entity. Theres at most 5000 fans left . They had no fans when people actually knew who they were .
I honestly think a complete new ownership group , completely devoid of any of the links to dinosaur teams prior to 1999 is the only path forward .
The delusion to think that fans of the club will support a name change , and the opportunism to use the steps forward in the last few years into a professional entity , as an avenue to restore a team really stuck in the 90s is just yuck .

I hope Julie Romero gets hit by a bus ! And Denis suffocates on his stupid hair …

Chammas has done a great job IMO piecing this together.

Firstly, the club needs to explain asap where the Wests Tigers constitution is at (i.e. in keeping decision-making separate from HBG) as well as appointment of independent directors.

Secondly, if any of the article is not true as Chammas is getting most of this from one side, then Romero needs to come out and publicly say so & commit to the future direction of the Wests TIGERS.

Thirdly, if what Andreacchio is warning is true, then we need to ruin Romero, Burgess & their cronies. There are more of us than them so they better be prepared for a fn avalanche. I am deadset sick of this s***!
 
Romero really is faceless and voiceless... Zero accountability whatsoever... Her and the 70s wannabe clown have to go.
Crap like this just reinforces my decision not to become a member while in between there's so much positive stuff to see me almost change my mind... This rubbish just vetoes that
 
Having worked with Romero previously, she is not qualified for this role. Nowhere near it. She was made redundant for poor performance from her low level role when we worked together. How the hell she got into this chairman’s role I’ll never understand. I suspect trying to get some female representation on the board played a big role. Given this will be the peak of her career, she will do whatever she can to hang onto this role. She is serving herself and not the WT.

The nrl surely have had enough of this . It’s such a detriment to the brand ,and really does make the nrl seem like it’s run on an oily rag with meat raffles , and selling lollies at the canteen , rather than a multi billion dollar professional outfit .

I wonder if these people are just compelled to want to ruin shit ! Like they can’t let themselves and others around them have nice things .

I think you’re right about this . If I was vlandys I’d be pissed off ! He would have had to politic like crazy to get the funding for LO , only for these muppets to pull shit .
I can see there being some enforced board reshuffle at least in the near future .

Yep with such big NRL news atm with the expansion clubs, the behaviour of our owners at HBG is deplorable and HQ wouldn't be happy even from just an PR/image standpoint.

A part of me feels sorry for the blazer 4 because their lives are in for a big change very soon if public emotion & frustration within the NRL cabal boils over. Nah in fact I don't, we've put up their shit , they can deal with what's coming even if it becomes personal at times.

It’s going to be personal , because it is personal . There’s no commercial , and fiscal reason why the return to the magpies makes any sense . Which means it’s the desire of geriatrics to implement something to wider detriment of the supporter base .

It’s soo delusional though . It reminds me of like Ramsays Kitchen Nightmares , where he comes in , turns a restaurant on its head , gets rid of the dead weight , changes the menu , and the place picks up and gets packed .
But 3 months later the owner changes the name back to the old name , and return the menu back to its original shitness , because they’re deluded themselves into thinking this dopamine hit and popularity is for them , and they can do whatever they want, only no ! They’re turning up for the new thing , no one gives a shit or even likes that old thing !
It’s pretty much the same mindset ….
If the club ever changed thier name to wests magpies , they would lose a whole generation , that’s probably already got 1 foot out the door , because all they’ve grown up with is losing . Now you’re gonna take away the things they associate with ?

Agree totally

Fossils stuck in yesterday given a sliver of power is a dangerous thing... We will never get anywhere without EVERYONE being on the same page.
Such a shame I've mentioned here several times the sleeping giant we are and what could be if everything and everyone had the same ideals.
I said for years 50/50 everything held us back in so many ways.... Now we find ourselves in a different power phase yet held back even more

I hope Liquor & Gaming can do this …

The Herald has also obtained a separate document, compiled by two club members and sent to Liquor and Gaming NSW. The document is a request for Liquor and Gaming NSW to appoint an administrator to the HBG, as happened at the Parramatta Eels almost a decade ago.

In the letter, it is claimed “There has been a total breakdown in the management of HBG in that the board is completely dysfunctional and the relationships so toxic, it is impossible for the board to operate effectively, or at all”.
 
It really is utter madness on that board. They are on another planet.

It seems the job is only half done. We have ousted Lee and Justin, its just the insane HBG debenture holders that need to go next. God help anyone who unites this forum against them.
