2025 off season training images

Brother I was only there for a short time, 10-15 mins
I live next door so try to duck in here & there 2 sus it.
They looked good. Intense, probably the most intense
I've seen them training in terms of intensity like I said
but the talk was loud. They were doing attacking
drills where they play the ball from the same spot
(about 25 in from touch) then go 1 or 2 out and then
backline spreads pretty much. Luke Lualilii is pretty
special on the wing hey (was playing left wing which
was interesting). Real footballer man. He took an
intercept & then ran a crazy unders line 20m out and
split everyone within the space of 5 minutes... Also,
I counted like 13 lavender shirts, including Moussa,
S&C department and analysts. All hands on deck.
Really hot out, they'll probably do something light
tomorrow with the members day, if you or anyone
else is a member go out & check them out and wish
them well. A Lot of things to be excited about in 2025
Thanks for posting ☺️

I just wanted to add because I should have earlier
but Luke was cutting up the 1st choice team from
the looks of it, he was running around with mostly
the cup guys. Aaron Payne & his staff were there
too obviously but it just occurred to me now that
this drills they were doing seemed designed to have
the 1st team attacking ONLY from left to right and
the (mostly) cup team were ONLY attacking the left
edge, so that's to say, testing the right hand defence
as much as possible. It was getting cut up TBH lol.
They kept shifting centers/wings from both backlines
it looked like — it's clear where the focus is on. Coaching
staff were giving them limited time 4 water breaks
and recovery between reps also. It was back 2 back

sounds like that right edge a lot of us were worried about are rightly being put thru their paces. assuming it was Seyfarth, Galvin, Turuva and Skelton?

this is great info btw, thanks mate.

Champion, we need to set up a goodfundme for you to be our eagle eye at training with these reports lol

Yeah Junior I'm blind but I'm %95 sure they were
actually running with Skelton right centre & with Turuva
on the right wing — Luke Lualilii left wing opposed.

Seyfarth was playing right-edge 2nd row, Galvin inside.
Makasini was hanging out on the left wing too next
to Laulilii, think he got some reps in down that edge too

Yeah man, I'm not to be trusted lmao. Hopefully there
will be plenty of reports from members day tomorrow.
Whoever is going enjoy it, they look good. I saw them
yesterday too during the junior wallabies game. The
brotherhood is strong you can tell, real loud & tight knit

Thanks for posting mate. I am looking forward to heading out there tomorrow.

Thanks Kaito,
I’ve been to a few training sessions before Luai arrived. Seemed the same old same old ti me, not enough intensity fur my liking, hopefully it’s changing.
I’ve said it before but our attacking kicks are horrendous fir years now, and I rarely see them doing constant drills targeting specific players! Remember repetition makes for muscle memory.
I also would like to see a specialist sprint trainer working on certain players ti increase their speed, e.g Bula, Galvin, Skelton, etc. I believe this would have massive benefits for their games!

Is this an option for anyone in the area, to go in, to the stands and watch them train? I wasn’t able to go today so I was thinking of dropping in sometime next week.

Couple of things I noticed today. Couple of surprises but not anything crazy.

Bird training at lock
Skelton on the left wing and Turuva right wing
Olam and To’a centres
Doueihi not training

Luai looked good. Bird looks fit.

I think it was Tim Johanssen running second to Galvin in the fitness drills. Bird and Bula not far behind but Galvin almost lapped the others. Hunt out the back which shouldn’t be a surprise.

A fit and motivated Jack Bird could be a very valuable addition to our side.
Tim Johanssen looks to have a plenty of potential, I hope we can find a spot for him in our top 30 ASAP. The possibility of him transforming into an edge back rower is very interesting as he has all the attributes for it to be a success.

Johanssen seemed to be playing middle for the ‘B’ team. He was very vocal and looked good.

I don’t want to overhype him too much, but he could also be a good 13. Reminds me a bit of Eisenhuth when he first came on the scene.
