Agree. Legs were massive. Seems to have trimmed down and lost pace and agression. Has turned into a more plod style runner. Just plodding along for the sake of plodding, just waiting to plod off to the bank to pick up his paycheck....for plodding.

His first season was great and second season had injuries and couldn't get enough games back to back and went to Melbourne started slow then playing regular minutes went back to his warriors form he scored alot of tries in his first season at warriors great super coach buy

Thompson is available from 2026. If we set it up that Klemmer didn’t qualify for his option in 2026 you could then offer him that money (significant) plus multi years after that. If we wanted to go down that path. Would make for some elite middles.

according to my take on the article …. Someone has offered him a deal already which he has accepted , and they are going through the cooling off period now ? He will be likely officially be signed elsewhere for 2026 by Boxing Day ..

He'd certainly be an upgrade on most of our middles,
800+ isn't ridiculous for him (Didn't we pay Hunt almost 600k?)

I see him going somewhere with Lower Tier Middles, He's the top dog where he's at.
Just can't see him Landing at the Raiders with the money Tapine has tied up there.
He's not going anywhere to play 2nd fiddle.

Him and May would be a good balance for us....
in Money and Output.
But we'd need to move Klemmer and Twal.

I remember at the time he was rumoured to be going he was averaging the most offloads per run in the competition without a high error count. A respectable work rate and metres per carry and decent tackle efficiency. He offered more than any of our forwards but couldn't string enough games together to earn a starting spot.

He actually was very average. Not terrible. Not great. Average. Barely broke a tackle, made about 60m a game. SUre he defended well but all in all he was just a solid middle.

And still is.

Was most likely referring to Eli Katoa, and yeah, he can play and is right up there amongst the best of them in my opinion anyway.

Be good to get with a young squad as we have ,all moving forward as one ,certainly wouldn't get in a bidding war for him
