Love your insights @Iron Fist . I have similar reservations about Broederlow with some of his lazy efforts in the latter half of the NSW Cup season. But I'll give him the benefit of the doubt as I did see some big effort plays from him in Flegg early in the season. Let's see what a full pre-season building his fitness & effort does.
Now you say that about Jake Watmough, you may be right and this may be him next to Aaron Payne in this pic on Insta from a couple of days ago. Cayne Nicholas is also in it representing the Magpies.
I had the pleasure of teaching him when he was in grade 12 on the Gold Coast. Really nice kid.Good IDing @Fraze23 yep that looks like him. It's Cayne Nicholas next to Noddy. Do you know much about Charlie Murray? Must be purely a NSW Cup signing for us.
Especially with it apparently being his third licence suspensionI would class getting behind the driving wheel without having a valid licence as a deliberate decision
You’re wrong, guaranteed.Hey Tito
I can’t say I’ve seen the great skill that you and plenty of others seem to have from Latu.
Gives me vibes on another Adam Doueihi, I hope I am wrong
This is our big issue last season api went great for four rounds but burnt himself out. Need to follow pamfers method some meathead for the first 20, then bring on the jewel, api! Don’t waste him, like last season! Be smart, train matamua to be dummy half fir the first 20, then api on, matamua to lock!Yeah the fatigue Api was under was that obvious at timesh
Earlier than that, we will know by 6 months into the season if falcon is staying. I wonder how 2nd year syndrome will go with Galvin!!Latu's future with us will be decided by whether Galvin extends.
I guess we'll find out later next year.

In terms of talent shown up until Latu's age, Doueihi and he aren't in the same stratosphere. You ARE wrong. Nothing like Doueihi
In what way does he give you Doueihi vibes?Hey Tito

Latu can give Api the same break as TDS with the added ability to cover the halves, lock and probably centre at a pinch. TDS is a hooker who can't do anything elseApi should not go 80.
We have 2 years of evidence to support that statement. We have many years of data before he came even here to support that statement.
TDS has to be on the bench as cover and should be getting 25 minutes per week. He has spent his time in reserves getting ready.
Latu needs to do the same in 25
Falling into a trap of finding him an alternative position because of the roster situation at the moment.
Latu Fainu is a half. A very farking good one at that. Treat him as one because he is next in line after Luai and Galvin and will need to slot straight into that position for 80 minutes in games this year. He gets that time and development in NSW Cup.
Da Silva is tricky. He also needs development with big minutes in lower grades. I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a tandem between him and Hope on the NRL bench and Cup team in 2025. Hope is supposedly killing it in NRL pre season, is this true to the actual spies here at training? Geez, I’d even give Da Silva and some of the young guys who are still eligible some time in Flegg. Seems there are better open age options this year in comparison to last year who can play Cup. Guys like Feledy, Makasini, Lauliliis, Da Silva, etc could all get some combination and confidence in their age group.
Half a season in koe would be best for Makasini maybe then first grade.Fainu will be ruined if he's pushed out of the halves imo.
And Makasini looks to cool for reggies and juniors. Not a fan of 17 year olds in 1st grade but he's an exception.
Dummy Half is the most taxing position on the field. Defend in the centre, make 40+ tackles then follow the ball carrier and direct the attack from dummy half. I would be giving TDS long, regular minutes in KoE. Let him develop and share the role next year with API.
After hearing some of the stories of people on Stillnox I honestly doubt he remembers anything.
From memory I think it was former tiger Stuart Flanagan who had an incident with the stuff in Canberra and never played for them again
TDS can only play hooker agreed but API can play in the halves or lock if required, TDS has to be our 14 and will play 9 in round one when api is suspended.Latu can give Api the same break as TDS with the added ability to cover the halves, lock and probably centre at a pinch. TDS is a hooker who can't do anything else
Seyfarth is not a long term option in the back row, and we can not carry him and Twal in the same team. They are fill in at best, west magpies players this year if we want to Win games.Yeah closed from today until the 6th. Assuming
Richo is having a well deserved break like every1
else man then it's back to biz. Trials are just over
a month after the break. It's gone fast — sure glad that
the new guys came back to training early 2 build
synergy. The next block of pre-season and trials will
decide who plays right centre & 2nd row. I believe
To'a, Naden, Seyfarth, Sukkar, Sione, Johannssen
will get a look in there, not grim but pretty close to
it, Bird of course can play there & is better in D than
the above players I mentioned but that throws out
the backrow & bench option if you push Seyfarth
or Fonua Pole to lock. Why'd you leave us Papali'i...
I don’t see how that happens unless Api is out.TDS must get regular game time and big chunks of it during 25.
In terms of talent shown up until Latu's age, Doueihi and he aren't in the same stratosphere.
I wouldn't use " in the eyes of the law " as a vindication. If it was you or me that did it " in the eyes of the law " we would be in gaol. What he did was extremely stupid, however I’m pretty positive he did not get into the car with the intent to kill. Hence why it was reckless. Don’t take that as a defence of him either, I couldn’t care less about him. But in the eyes of the law, I think there is a a distinct difference.
