Looks unlikely now. But I think the Aussies have done them a favour by taking so much time out of the game.
 
It's a new ball wicket once the ball is 40 + overs old early on it was doing plenty
If we can get 2 or 3 wickets early on I think we win ! Our batting stars

Australia has pushed an Indian victory pretty much out of the equation when it looked likely 4 hours ago.
Terrific fight from the bowlers.
 
The pitch is playing just like it did on day one and every day after. Get through the first 20 overs and it’s a road to bat on. India should be able to make a draw without too much problems if they see off the new ball. Our big hope is we do some real damage early.

Boland holds the key, it’s his patch and is probably our best for this sort of wicket.

Anyway Test cricket is the winner again, what a great contest
 
Sydney test Marsh has to be sent packing. With no test standard all rounder fit and available we have two choices, pick a guy like Inglis to bolster our crappy batting lineup or pick a guy like Abbott who is probably a better bowler than Marsh and is probably about Starc’s standard with the bat.

Yeah I don’t see it turning into a batting or bowling paradise, it’s been pretty consistent, you gotta work hard for your runs and your wickets, it’s a good one.
Everyone going on about you have to get your wickets early? Well you do on most.
But especially tomorrow as they can play for the draw, we could really do with the win.

Yeah a good five day game.
 
It will be disheartening if they bowl 90 odd overs tomorrow, don’t get a result with a short turn around into Sydney. I’d expect changes.

Thoughts on Webster?
 
Safe to say India will bat for the draw. They don’t have to win. They might see the Aussie bowlers toiling all day on Day 5 with a short turnaround enough of a win.

Then backed it up with a solitary wicket (of the number 11 batsman) and a golden duck in the next innings. Looks like an exciting game unfolding though with South Africa needing 32 runs and Pakistan 2 wickets for the win.

I would consider playing an extra batter in Sydney given Bumrah’s form. Depending on Head’s calf injury, I would potentially play him as the fifth bowler. Either bring back McSweeney or Kurtis Patterson (who is in rare form).

Webster has decent shield form over the long term and been going well this season and killed it against India A. I would have picked him for the first test.
He’s not the future, but we need an all rounder now, and until Green is fit. Which could be a while and I think green will have ongoing fitness issues so we need to find the next one too.
Boggy has been a complete passenger this series, wasn’t he one of the ones taking time off before this series? Changing nappies I believe? @Stevec
Well his kid had better turn out to be The Don, Pigeon, and Warney, all rolled into one to make up for the shite he’s put out this season. I am fair dinkum sick of seeing his smiling face tv while we’re getting flogged. Read the room DH. But I might be still shitty with his inept performance and leadership during the T20 WC.

Sorry went on a Boggy Marsh rant then.
