Taking a wrecking ball to the club! (Recent Media Reports)

What is often said in the media vs what actually happens are two different things. The review was in its planning stages before the petition was raised.

But please feel free to think otherwise. It apparently makes people feel important
And how would you know when the review was in motion if you weren’t on the board or if you didn’t have some kind of connection to them?

The review wasn’t commissioned before the petition. Maybe try to follow your own advice and provide sources to back up your statements.

I can 100% confirm that this all sprouted from a comment on the Wests Tigers Podcast from Steve who called for the review. We then started to put the wheels in motion. We had zero connection or communication with anyone from WT or HBG about any action. We were ready for a fight, we were quite surprised when the reaction was “we see this as an opportunity for WT to evolve”. That only came in our first zoom meeting with HBG (Andreacchio and Simon Cook) after the petition was completed and sent to Simon in pdf form. It was Steve and I in that meeting).

Lol people saying the petition doesn’t matter or that HBG don’t have to work with us is a matter of opinion

We leaked the names of the debenture holders to Chammas and carrayanis and the NEXT DAY HBG came out with a memo stating it’s facts

Fact is - we leaked it in order to get them to state their position.

Lol

I’ve worked with people that brought down Malcolm Turbull and then Bill Shorten

I’m enjoying the game with HBG

May the best team win

oh I know you’re 100% correct. The media and club statements back that up.

I know that he’s just trying to create this fantasy that HBG board members were good for the club and acted in the Wests Tigers interests when we know they didn’t.

He’s also contradicted himself numerous times now too. Told posters to use sources and when they did claims that we can’t believe what’s in the media. Claims to not have any ties to HBG but is supposedly privy to information that only board members would have access to. Just part of their intent to distract from the real issue at the Tigers which is poor governance and an unwillingness to implement structural changes to the Wests Tigers board.

I hope your “win” doesn’t come at the total destruction of this current squad.

Of course

I just want galvin to extend

And I know all this BS doesn’t help - but it started before we got involved with all the directors being sacked and leaking emails

We didn’t start it

We need to stop it as quick as possible with promises made to ensure wests tigers future

So that stability can return

Versus how many WT fans in total.

Liquor and Gaming.......cling on

as per liquor & gaming guidelines …

Providing information to members

Clubs are required to make information relating to the management and financial administration of the club available to their members .

——

The constitution of WA is available on their website . It’s 29 pages long .

There’s lots of definitions of words at the start like board , full member , liquor act etc

Long definitions about all classes of members follow that .

The word that isn’t defined is debenture . A word that belongs to the core group of management .

It’s not mentioned in item 50 which talks about the board .

It’s not until page 16 item 53 that debenture is mentioned .

53. Debentures may with the consent of the board be transferred only to persons who are members of the club and debenture holders shall at no time be more than twenty (20) in number .

And that’s it .

Everyone clear on what a debenture holder is ?

Will liquor & gaming be happy with that information provided to members ?

The Storm went 14-10 when playing for no competition points, way more disruptive than an argument between fans & owners.

To blame this for losses would be a player cop-out.
I’m not talking losses on the field, they are professionals.
I’m talking losing generation next as well as our big recruits with get out clauses.
No one wants to work in a toxic environment…especially when they can easily pick up work elsewhere.

All clubs have politics happening behind the scenes though. It’s not unique to us, we create enough toxicity ourselves, and that’s why all this is happening.

Doubtful.

It’s not unique to us, but we have mastered it.
Rewind 5-6 weeks ago and note the optimism in the club.
We always find a way to torpedo our own campaigns.
Training resumes tomorrow yeah? Never been more looking forward to some lame puff pieces lmao….

Exactly. Let’s not forget this latest kerfuffle is largely a result of our (ownership) Board turning on each other.
