Wooden Spoon 2025 ?

They've got that rugby convert Nawanqatawese for a centre spot. I don't really know anything about him but he looked decent the one match I saw him play back end of last year. Should only get better with a league preseason and few games experience.

Superb player. He'll introduce himself this year with
Suaalii going the other way & Joen Many in Japan

They've still got a very good pack. Collins, Leinu, Crichton, Butcher, Watson the key players. Whyte, Wong, E. Butcher provide better depth than most.

Moriarty isn't the worst hooker either. Won't stand out but won't look out of place in first grade.

Might struggle to make the 8 but can't see a spoon for them.
Everyone keeps saying Manu will rejoin Roosters after his stint in rugby in May

Seriously who on earth will claim the Spoon?

Dragons? Considering who they are gaining, No. Ok no Halfback and maybe Gutho or Cook will go down injured.

Easts? nope, culture is strong... I honestly expect them to slide, but I always do.

Titans? Very strong forward pack and Des Haslier knows what he is doing.

Eels? Only if Jason Ryles really stuffs it. He may just put a stack of pressure and have the side play boring. I dont' think that will happen because of Moses, but they have lost a stack of people.

Dolphins? Such a strong roster, I think not.

Cowboys? Todd Payten would really have to mess up the team management. He has thrown away Townsend, but he survived without him.

Everyone seems to be on the improvement.

You can make a case in December for every team avoiding it. Right now, there are 17 clubs training the house down. But once the season starts, the fun and games begin. There are always teams who underperform. Would you ever have picked the Broncos falling out of the 8 after nearly going all the way in 2023? Also, look how the Warriors fell back to the pack this year after playing out of their skin last season. It happens every year.

Something tells me the Dragons will be fighting for the spoon
Reckon we will get 13th in 2025
The young half they have is a gun putting Cook and Guttho in the team will take the pressure off him and have Val and they will hold there own

Raiders - surely due a difficult year. I feel like they have just been holding on the last couple of years.

Phins - Purely because history tells us Bennett coached clubs struggle big time when he leaves but there is no way that roster should finish last

Titans - Because they are the Titans

Dragons - They have the weakest spine in the comp by some distance

Then there are clubs like Eels, Warriors and Bunnies who are in strife if they get a couple of injuries (I think the bottom clubs this year will be the one's with some bad injury luck and little depth)

Agree with a lot of that.
I disagree on Dessie’s Titans however, I’ve got a hunch they’ll be one of the surprise packets of the year 🤷‍♂️

That Roosters squad looks the worst for ,many years.

As a club that's been winning if things faulter early they could be a roughie for the spoon.

Strong forward pack and some serious pace in the outside backs. Think they struggle with that spine though as Foran and Brimson are getting on, Verrills and Campbell are low tier and Gordon will need time. Des might get them up pushing for the 8 but I think that is their ceiling

Edit: Brimson is only 26! feel like he has been around a long time

If we have any luck with injuries I see us creeping into the 8 in 2025.

The teams I see us above include: St George, Titans, Roosters, Souths, Newcastle, Parra, Dogs, Manly, Dolphins and Raiders.

without studying a form guide .roosters titans or dragons n throw in warriors 4 good luck
Something tells me it won't be Dragons. I don't know what Flanno's plan is there and he seems to be making mistakes in places. But adding Gutho, Cook and Holmes should save them from the spoon.

Titans are in for a serious headache along with the Cowboys with injuries. Really it's up to Des, he could coach a side out of the spoon but hasn't clicked at the titans.

Roosters, lets see how the go with those missing in their backline and no JWH leading them. If Lindsay Collins get injured after origin, they could be looking bare...

Warriors with Harris, johnson missing could jsut give up.

. . . . . . and no Terrell May providing that all important little bit of extra go forward for them.

Can't wait to see the look on Bee Sting Head's face when we trounce them in round 18 after Terrell puts in a man of the match performance.

When interviewed after the game Terrell puts out a big thank you to Bee Sting Head Robo thanking him for making his opportunity at Wests Tigers possible.

Unfortunately with the way the draw is we only play the Roorters once this season in the regular rounds and there is no way that we can get a second crack at them because they won't be playing finals footy. 🤣

It’s a pretty hard call atm, cos any side down the bottom has the potential to surprise. I’d almost be tempted to say Souths, but no Bennett coached side will get the spoon. They look very ordinary though.

I just don’t the Roosters getting it, Yes, I can see them falling out of the 8, but not to the point where they will beat no one else home. They still have enough about them. Bottom 4 is probably even a stretch.
