Thanks Steve .......I don't think he will be old enough to play the trialsThink it's Makasini
Yeah not 18 till second half of the season from memory. Thanks Steve .......I don't think he will be old enough to play the trials
Probably, the original post was in answer to a question of who should be on our shopping list for 2026. If you don't ask you will never get. Geyer has yet to be picked up by the Panthers so we can certainly have a conversation.about a 0.00000001% chance of removing a Geyer from the Panthers
For the most part, Api's goal kicking has been excellent.Yep the goalkicking thing is a furphy. Api's kicking was passable around 80%. If he kicked another 10% it is 16 or so points over the whole season, a minority of those would of had any bearing on the result. In saying that I remember being frustrated at some misses throughout the year, but thats just part of being a fed-up Tigers fan.
Players should not be in the team based on goal-kicking. For example Doueihi easily leaked more that 16 points in his couple of games at centre.
True but much of that dead wood would not be on big dollars (big for what they are producing, yes, but not big in terms of freeing up cap space). We still have a lot of cap space taken up by dead wood. A few contracts the end this year won't be renewed.
I'm a Reuben Garrick fan, he's solid all round. He signed for decent $$ for his last contract as he was playing a lot of fullback at the time (with Turbo out injured). He still has a couple of years to go on that contract. I don't think Manly will offer as much $ on his next contract as they have a lot of younger talent coming through in the outside backs.High praise to consider AD a NRL player! 🤪
I'm not entirely sure he's that good a goal kicker is he?
Quick search and he has a career conversion rate of 74%. I think the best are 80% and above, but I only checked Cleary (84%) and Reynolds (83%) and I'd put them at the very top.
So 3 out of 4 for Adam. But in fairness, he hasn't had the benefit of long stretches of games, has had to come back from (2?) acls, less attempts playing for wt in those he did play (😦) and may very well have had to take more shots from the sideline....
Don't remember him being a good kicker, but at the same time I often think stats don't tell the whole story.
In any case - Reuben Garrick. Said many times the last few years he'd be perfect.
If not him, maybe they could poach Meaney, as Paps is a great kicker too.
so there’s a chance!about a 0.00000001% chance of removing a Geyer from the Panthers
Sign him if we could looks to have a bright future not as dopey as his old man was.Probably, the original post was in answer to a question of who should be on our shopping list for 2026. Many thought that we were at the same off to sign Luai!
I think I read he is available for 2026. And as you say, his current deal should be his biggest one.I'm a Reuben Garrick fan, he's solid all round. He signed for decent $$ for his last contract as he was playing a lot of fullback at the time (with Turbo out injured). He still has a couple of years to go on that contract. We need to get Galvin and Sam's contracts extended before signing anyone on big $$.
Big body do you think we could of used him mate. Was just thinking this morning this must be close to happening....

I was keen lot of the forum didn't like it getting long in the tooth but 1 more year something to offer look how big some other forward packs are.Yeah I do....
I really don't see a spot for both Twal and Seyfarth in our 17, If I had to choose - I'd probably pick Seyfarth (he's a little more versatile)
Lodge while a little dated, Would change up the dynamic of our Middle Rotation somewhat, Also brings a bit of mongrel which we don't have a lot of.
Dragons made sense, Has history with Flanagan - They're shit short on Middles and He's about played for most Sydney Clubs.
If our roster had more free position ..then yes. but there are more pressing priorities than another prop. his not on big $ but not on small $ either.Yeah I do....

Someone mentioned Da Silva can kicks goals? For the most part, Api's goal kicking has been excellent.
He has kicked some absolute pearlers at some critical times, who would have thought that possible after his first attempt at goal for us which was a bit of an embarrassment from memory.
Be surprised if we don't see a lot more of him in 1st grade this season.
