But the petition has not been withdrawn and now it seems there are new attacks contemplated on HBG from posters here.

I can only speak for myself - but they didn't mislead me. I would never sign anything that I didn't support.
My motivation to sign was on the back of the information that was public - rightly or wrongly - and the lack of perceived action at the time of the petition - a lot of the negativity coming directly from long serving HBG directors..
I believe that those responsible have publically responded positively to the independent directors being appointed.

Goodness me - we finally get our independent board up and running and O'Farrell goes and shoots his mouth off about the rail strike ,unions in general and Chris Minns inadequacies. No doubt he would have been baited by the daily rag reporter but surely he could of deflected this by saying his focus is purely on WT.

He isnt a full time employee mate. Board of directors typically have a day job.

Im thinking this way while watching the presser yesterday announcing the 4 new indies

* We cannot hear the questions
*Baz's mic drops out for 30 odd seconds
*The backdrop sponsors mural is not level
*Table cloth all creased and wrinkled

This was sposed to be a big day in the clubs history...little things like this dont go un-noticed, its unproffesional & sloppy

I know people will laugh at the table cloth and say its nothing,,,its nothing if done right

I thought it was just my OCD that noticed and was irritated by this lack of high standards.

I tell the people I mentor that When we perform with with excellence, most of it won't be noticed. When excellence is absent, it is very apparent.

I hope the Tigers become excellent.

They are trying to stay relevant and when they get up in the morning they will have replies to read and their dopamine loves it.
I’ve never blocked anyone but I’ve have a fit and healthy thumb to scroll the screen past their shite. I feel for the thumbless.
I also picture everyone as a 15yo troll until otherwise confirmed.
I reckon any boofhead who changes their handle should have to have “FKA; Formerly Known As” under their new name/handle. As in if someone by the name of “so and so” changes their handle to “such as such”, the system would automatically have FKA: “so and so” under their new handle. Bcoz I know I started ignoring one boofheads posts and then he changed his name and started interacting with me under a new disguise. Shifty, untrustworthy, like a rock spider.

Exactly! The CEO is the one who’s running the club. The Board meet semi-regularly to discuss the strategy and how it is and should be being implemented. The importance of the Board is so often overstated. They have a capable CEO whose done it all before.

Hopefully we hear very little about them moving forward.

These sponsor banners in the background are always horizontal rectangles and like a photo at the coast with the horizon in the background it looks crap if it's not level

Had to get a new referral last week which dates back to 98 and some conditions I have, really hit home it now being 25 just how time is flying.
Don't remember when I started here I lurked for a year or so at first before registering... But your point about FKA is a good one and very valid

Yes but unfortunately the daily rag added a picture of him in front of the WT publicity banner which implies he made the comment during a WT announcement. Now i know he probably didn't but it is the daily rag and i would of thought O'Farrell would have such a low opinion of that organisation that he would be a bit more wary of them fashioning a story to suit their agenda.

Yeah I remember the button on the official site that took you to the forum... I was very new to the interwang then days of chat rooms... Yahoo Pool, 9/11 etc
