Well, like I have been saying.
Depth isn't our problem. We have as fine quality players registered to play 18-30 as we do 1-17!

The problem is other then Api and maybe Bula, our 1-17 is depth in most other teams.

I think that's a bit of a cop out mate. We lost 5 of our best 13 from 24 (Tupou, Sezer, Utoikamanu, Bateman, Papallii). 3 of them will be starting in last years finals teams, Tupou may/may not start for Dolphins but they did actively recruit him and only the 1 wasn't offered an NRL contract.
Thats 6 (4 plus your 2) of our best 13 that are clearly good enough to play elsewhere. Add a few more like Galvin reportedly with clubs waiting for him free to negotiate, Klemmer a well established first grade (even if he is not what he once was), Fainu who the forum wax lyrical about, Pole a bloke we were all desperate to see re-sign.
The overwhelming majority would start elsewhere. There was more than enough talent to have a better season than we did. Finals? Probably not, but certainly much better.

The culture in the playing squad and management was garbage.

The club as a whole is changing.

Benji will be a good head coach and I hope we persevere for a few more years.

Tigers are on the up.

Benji will be able to offer his experience and coaching skills but it’s the players who will determine where we finish which will determine Benjis outcome , if the players who we have of quality - Bulla , Luai , Appi , May , Pole , Sam F , Galvin , Klemmer , Turuva , Bird , Hunt play to their ability 90% of the time we will be fine - 6 wins from first 10games would be a fair result with more improvement during the rest of the season , we will make the 8 on the back of the above players , the other players in our team will grow due to the positive results , Seyfarth , Latu , Sione , Olam , Naden , Staines , Skelton I think will be solid this season , positive vibe brings positive results

there wasn't much to Richardson's SEN interview, but I found one part particularly interesting.

by saying that it's been the best pre-season preparation he's had in the last 30 years, he is putting pressure on Marshall to deliver. he's planting the seeds now to ensure there can be no excuses.

It's a strange one because it's obvious the guy can coach, he had that Dragons team last year playing some good footy, there just seems to be something either around him or the Dragons that's making it tough to sign some players. For us it was player managers telling their clients to steer clear cause the place was a basket case. The Dragons atm iv no idea what it is. They'll sign good tradesman type players guys that can do a job, I just can't really remember Flanno in the last 2 years signing any big name they were after.

Yeah mate hard to pinpoint any real reason outside looking in all started when Lomax headed for the lifeboat something must be on the nose amongst the players they text to each other then a snowball effect happens next thing you know its like rats leaving a sinking ship thank god its them and not the good ship Wests Tigers.
