Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

With 1200 posts over 15 yrs you don't have to guess anything about how the forum is run
It’s being run a lot better than it used to be. Some mods got personal. I got pulled up on some banter the other day, asked me to reword my post, and then asked how I was and we had a bit of a chat, and now we have more of a connection as to where we’re both coming from. I won’t name him/her but they will know who they are.
A couple of years ago I was in hospital and called it “the motel” a couple of times and two mods cottoned on and pm’d me, and during my months at that motel and the following years of recovery they would check in on me. Again, they know who they are.
This forum, although can get a bit sharp from some members, is just passionate Tigers fans and that includes the mods. Where as I used to feel there was a hierarchy and the rest of us were allowed to use their forum.
Great work to all mods.

I would say that if there have been failures, it may not just be Benji.

How about John Morris, is he actually the guy that is responsible for our defence, something that has been a major problem for us for a very long time and still is.

I have high hopes of our attack going ahead in leaps and bounds this season, let's hope that our defence starts heading in the same direction.

Hank, I think bomber is good & hodgo too. Honestly give them time, say, like round 12 lol...all jokes aside we're in good stead.

We have a fair draw, especially early, make a statement & take it to the league man... It starts with the knights @ Campbelltown

Anyone think forgotten Johnny Morris may get the gig if Benji can’t do it this year? He’s shown more as a FG coach than Benji has. I’ll back BM for half the season if we don’t defend like bustards- benji like other rookies has failed and has something to prove (same as his playing career over time) - and he’ll be busting his arse to win the TV show - problem is the hard working serviceable players like Morris are usually better coaches. I wanted Flanagan (because he is a c word) - but I’m glad he is not here. I’d love Benj to succeed, but how many super star players like him have been successful? Ivan was great but no Benji and that’s all that comes to mind
Benji will come good.

He is a USA style head coach that the face of the club and a draw card in recruitment.

We just need Luai etc to play good and Galvin to resign.

This is a generational period for our club.

i wanted a vibrant Sheens - we got a somewhat hollow old man
As I said earlier GM was his calling in his stage of life of all the numb skull ideas that dumb and dumber made this one took the cake jury still out on their decision on Benji I hope he succeeds so glad D&D are gone they just spiraled our club towards the abyss.

Lets hope BM succeeds
Whilst Benji as Head Coach is ultimately accountable for results, if we fail this year it will almost certainly be our leaky defence.....and Morris is the key driver and owner of that department. So I wld definitely NOT replace Benji with him
As for Hodgson...gr8 player 20 years ago and loyal club man ,but a notorious underachiever in the coaching ranks everywhere inthe world in both codes ..so I wldnt hire him either
No fan of rewarding mediocrity and failure
It wld be time to sever the umbilical to that 05 winning team ,and go in a different direction...with the possible exception of Payten if he were to become available. He can coach
Ben Gardiner a smokey

They should never have let Ben Gardiner go did wonders in reserve grade another dumb decision the club made.

We need to know quickly Latu's long-term fit for number 6. Possibly a better balanced cap would be Galvin's money spend on a seasoned frontline lock.
That's something to think about- highly unlikely our salary cap can have Luai on his money, Sullivan (theoretically) on $500k (ish), Latu on $350-500k over the next 4 seasons & include a significant contract for Galvin, for only 2 of them to play.

Either one or two need to go, or one or two need to find another position to fill. I can't think of too many clubs carrying not one, but 2 back up halves paid like starters.

Heath Mason should assume one of the back up halves positions, in my opinion.

Please let everything succeed don't want to be the source of another forum civil war.
Gosh Rock, you do realise that in the natural order not everyone thinks the same. Furthermore in a futuristic fantasy world where they do there would be limited social intercourse on forums like this.
Richo is improving things, he’s a deal maker, a man of action. I’m looking forward to his next move to strengthen a weak link in the chain.
I’m looking forward to seeing at least until the round 2 game before getting too excited 😝

Mate just want all of the silly bickering to stop I am sure majority of the forum would agree, what weak link are you referring to Benji or future problems
