Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Not getting caught up in all the angst G if he doesn't want to stay tough titties in 2 years time someone will put their hand up more than likely.
I’m not getting invested either. I’ll love it if he stays on, but I’m still scarred over the Tedesco debacle. I lived and breathed that contract saga for what felt like a year. The first thing I’d do every morning is check this place for some inside scoop. I must have done that 5 or 6 times a day, It was soul crushing when the realisation hit that he was leaving. Never putting myself through that again.

Well put, think any keen supporter when that was happening felt it nagging deep in the guts look what it did to the club and the player he went on to be.

The bottom line with Galvin is he is under contract for two more seasons with us. So even if he pulls the pin and signs elsewhere come November we still have his services till Oct 2026. That is a long time in the NRL world and who knows the next best thing might pop out of our pathway system, or Galvin could suffer a terrible injury or fade as quickly as he hit the NRL.

Personally I think it will be a tough ask to get him to put pen to paper with Moses running his negotiations but who knows. One thing for certain we have more chance than last year, now we have recruited some real NRL standard footballers

26 will feel pretty empty if it’s his last season.

Agree SC would be a real surprise to me if he extended now.

Plus, he’ll be 32. Would be a huge let down to lose a 21 year old with the world at his feet to bring back a guy who ditched us to give his best years to another club, only to come back to top up his pension.
Yeah would probably want 1.1M can see uncle Benny smiling on NRL 360 saying how good, coming back to the tigers, when he was telling him last time to stay at parra.

Having 2 half’s that want $1.2m + probably isn’t great for balancing the cap either

Moses isn’t even worth 1.2 now, let alone in another two years
If he goes anywhere probably go to the roosters last ditched effort to add a premiership to his name for the laughable amount 700K, seems to be a rooster's thing that players want to play here and the NRL won't bat an eyelid.

I totally agree.....Issac Moses will strongly suggest Galvin signs with a stronger club.......the narrative from Galvin supports this notion too...If I were Richo I'd be putting a 3 year extension on ther table NOW and if he doesn't sign before Rd1, I'd be prioritising Latu Fainu as the starting 5/8....just my view
Quotes from Galvin:

"I'm really staying out of that at the moment. My manager is dealing with that," Galvin told Zero Tackle.

"I haven't really heard much about it. Nothing's really happened at the moment so I'm just going to let this year play out and whatever happens, happens.

"I don't really want to get into talks at the moment. I just want to play my best."

Absolutely no indication he wants to stay a WT....This is EXACTLY how things played out with Moses and Tedesco when they were being managed by Issac Moses....I'm telling you Galvin is as good as gone after his current contract!.
