Agree -Talent (meaning elite hand eye coordination ) is talent
I'm a little worried they will go overboard stacking half our side with spin bowlers .Please don't over react
Sri Lanka have good swing bowlers which doesn't require helpful seaming pitches
You pick someone then they succeed and then they get dropped sets a bad example
 
So no Pat Cummins ,story is injury ? Been a few weeks since 5th test and he looked in top form then !
Or is it what Pats big on - A balanced family and cricket life !
Hearing some absurd possibilities about test selection
Head to open ,Konstas dropped? Doesn't make sense to me !
Either Inglis or McSweeney to get Heads spot at 5
If Inglis I can support this as he's carried the drinks for 3 years and during ODI World Cup he performed well especially against spin
If McSweeney I can't- You don't drop the guy who succeeded in favour of the one who failed ?
Other decision is Boland or Murphy
For me Boland who I think can get wickets anywhere
If they pick Murphy then imagine only ONE seamer Starc

Head batted really well opening the batting in India. Theory is new ball is easiest to score off and he is best placed to do that. Konstas was good, but doesn't demand selection.
 
Thought they would go 3 spinners but maybe Connelly to extend the batting.

These selectors have always gone horses for courses, with success for the most part

How did we go last 2 series in Sri Lanka ?

This side have lost 2 series in 5 years. They were very close to landing a result in India and drew in Sri Lanka last series out. Im willing to give the selectors the benefit of the doubt. They get it right more often than not and to their credit make changes if they get it wrong.

Head off to a flyer...
 
I cannot make sense of this team at all.

Is it for the future? Is it to win the game? Is it for WTC? Is it to give youngsters a shot?

I honestly do not understand.
 
Head should have been out on 23 and out on 57 so only cost 34
Marnus looking scratchy
He survives an LBW playing sweep across ball to ball on stumps
Most Aussies got out last time in India playing same shot
No lessons learned
 
22nd over they introduce their wrist spinning leggie Vandersay and he looks extremely dangerous
Note weve got 4 off spin bowlers in our team ( incl Head )
No wrist spin
Cant understand this
