Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Correct and that’s why I say it is highly likely there will be some more than decent talent likely to be very unhappy about not getting an NRL spot at the Bulldogs should they stay relatively injury free.
The impatience of footballers over previous years just gets worse and worse good if you're looking for a player, not so much if it's one of your own

If a player is NRL quality but not playing regular NRL as his current club as they are selecting others in front of him, why should that player just accept it knowing he could be a regular NRL player at other clubs ?
It happens at all clubs and may happen us if both Galvin and Latu Fainu progress as well as expected throughout 2025.
I’m an advocate for finding another starting position for Latu if this happens, but that’s another story for another day.

If they want to go, let them go.
Otherwise, they do what they are fking well told.

People are putting waayy too much stock into thinking he’s waiting to see how we go. Sorry to say, but I think that will be totally irrelevant.
You might be right, he may already be out the door, I can only go off what Richo says and what I would do in the same situation, I'd wait to see if the club is really on the up or if it's just going to be the same as usual, he won't want to be the next Brooks.

I can see both sides, it stifles their career especially if coming into prime years, on the other side it reduces club depth. What do you have in mind for Latu he has slimmed down now.

If any player does the dirty on us after giving them every chance to have a prosperous and successful career, Ron Massey Cup in the only place for them in their final contract year.
Either that or an early player swap for a player of our choice of similar quality.
That never happens though at any club

How are they arw are a sinking ship?
Unknown coach, Gutho gone, Brown looking elsewhere, Moses won't hang around if Brown takes off. They'll need a rebuild if either Brown or Moses leaves. Maybe Galvin could be someone they bring in to replace one of them but they will still need to recruit others, we have already gone through that and are only 2 first graders and a few depth players from being a finals team, if Benji can coach.

Gutho was broken down, and they have Iongi now. The coach is an unknown. They could really go either this year. To call them a sinking ship is uninformed. And this is coming someone who hates that club.

Eels a sinking ship.
Roosters a sinking ship.
Bulldogs could implode if results are not good over the first 10-12 rounds.

So every player who signs with another club should get dropped? That’s a ridiculous precedent.
No I’m referring to players developed through our own junior system who turn into NRL stars while playing b for us, then decide to turn their backs on us for similar money at rival clubs.
In this scenario if we have bent over backwards to retain the player and they sign elsewhere, we sound okay then in Ron Massey Cup for the remainder of their contract with us, it should not even be in question.
