Go back and have a look at Cleary's and Luai's careers. Is that what happened? Reynolds? DCE? They just went out and played and leaned from experience.

IF Wests Tigers had not placed Galvin in our NRL team last season, he would have been stuck playing in what were mostly our very average NSW Cup or Jersey Flegg teams and I highly doubt he would have had the opportunities to shine and standout like he did while playing for our NRL team.
He grabbed his opportunity with both hands and well done to him, but if the opportunity was not presented to him by Wests Tigers in 2024, he would likely currently be a fringe player with promise and worth 200k maximum on the open market.
So yes it’s Lachie himself who has put in the hard work, ensured he is an elite fit athlete and made the most of his opportunity, but that would have been very unlikely to have happened so soon at any other club, let’s hope this is brought into consideration when negotiating his next contract.

dont want to too n fro about this but Luai was actually held back for quite sometime.And yes putting Galvin back a grade a few weeks at a time would have been a good learning curve for him last year n also this year .The Kid is not the Messiah,long way to go yet
 
Not relevant to WT (directly),

but Dana White networking with some of the NRL players (Cleary, Soro and Hudson) and them all being Vegas teams is a great sign he could go to Vegas which could really bring a boom in the US for the game. Hoping we are one of the 2026 teams now because Dana is a massive influence in the favour of NRL if he leaves March 2nd loving our game
 
Probably nothing we haven’t heard in the press, but my mate was speaking to Chris Heighnington yesterday who advised Luai is absolutely braining it at training. Standards are up massively. Any competitive game or anything at training Luai’s team always wins. Fingers crossed he’s the circuit breaker.

I think the nrl is just trying to get a bit of shine from the UFC .
I think the overall plan would be to hopefully make it like the NFL and the Jaguars annual trip to London .
I guess if it managed to get in the US media and become a thing , then there’s the off chance an USNRL could be established . But that would be tough going . There’s already a professional US rugby comp , and I’m not sure how popular that is . If at all .

UFC CEO, 10.1m instagram followers, a part of the Meta board, friends with Trump, who is a convicted Rapist and Felon (I don’t support him) and he’s worth $500m. my logic is he’ll get the game exposed to teens in America who spread it to parents and it’s as contagious as corona in 2020 china. He’s a key figure in why the UFC is what it is today and why it generated an estimated $1.3 billion in revenue last year and could be great for the game as a whole. Especially if it lines the NRLs pockets so we don’t get names on the back of jerseys.

2 million is cheap in hindsight, UFC copped a huge backlash in its day ,vego tree huggers where trying to make their way in the world - so barbaric - ban it
