2 million is cheap in hindsight, UFC copped a huge backlash in its day ,vego tree huggers where trying to make their way in the world - so barbaric - ban it
 
It was called cage fighting back in the day,promoted with jets of blood sprouting from cheek ,eyebrow cuts,Boxing was copping crap also.Anthony Mundine spouting off in favour of the 7 11 attacks didn't help

Agree . But nfl used to be that way here . afl was the same in the northern states , nrl in the southern . If you promote it enough for long enough , and make it apart of the sporting landscape (easier said than done ) then there’s a chance .
I mean really it’s a shame the English game is so diabolical. If elitism and ww2 hadn’t happened , maybe the main games are the super league games and the backwater Aussie games are the undercard .
Such a weird footnote that RL was massive prior to ww2 in England and France , and ww2 was used to try and squash the game .
It sounds like a bad idea for a story no one would read . Except it’s true .
