Just looked up Marshall's wiki and it lists him as 6 ft. I know he is leaning forward slightly in the picture, but unless he is standing 10m behind everyone else (ala every photo of someone taken at Pisa ever...) he sure is a tall kid.

Geez, I wonder what his dad weighs? 2.5 Benjis?

Bottom ager in SG Ball this season yet to show the form in 2 rounds he did in Matts last year. However huge potential & has the physical attributes already to suggest he could become a beast. He’s an out-and-out prop. Think the backrower you are thinking of is Phoenix Godinet who hopefully will be signed up as well long-term.

For every post I see about filling the top 30 with kids - this is exactly why it’s a stupid idea!! No one is earning a spot.

Every NRL teams top 30 has 4-5 youngsters that their respective clubs are gambling on to fulfill their potential, many of them don’t live up to expectations.
I do agree that over the past 3-4 seasons we look to have gambled on a few young players with top 30 contracts way too soon, but I don’t begrudge the club giving some of our better performed young players a chance, particularly ones that have played for their state at u/19’s level such as Matamua.
I’m not ruling out that he comes of age and starts to fulfil his potential in 2025.
Patience is a virtue and many forget the many quality NRL players that were not even on any NRL teams top 30 radar before the age of 22-23 when they started to bloom like many late developing players do.

Thats that fine line Vicious, potential X contract X progression . How long do we wait.Probably the only answer that can hold any sway ,is don't talk the kids up to early,or sign them for to long.Unless they jump up out of nowhere an kill it

It was obvious from the moment Joey Manu signed with Japanese rugby that it was a short term cash grab, and he’d be back in the NRL by mid season. Now it’s being reported that he’s struggling over there with the food and language (Like you would not have considered these things beforehand. Like going to Antarctica and not taking warm clothes). So it won’t be long till he’s back sipping lattes in Bondi. Cue the Rooster haters.

Went on a business trip 12 or so years ago and got taken to a fugu restaurant. Pathway in way over ponds of fugu that were huge.
The sashimi, and deep fried parts were great. The liver and skin dish - Hmmm, one bite and dutifully pushed away. Like eating baby poo combined with sandpaper. My wife later told me it's the most-prized part and the most expensive - should have doggy-bagged it for her.

I'm a threshing machine when it comes to food. I've at least tried most foods offered in Japan from whale (didn't know it at the time) through to sea squirt (tastes like petrol when old but can be great). Had grasshoppers preserved in soy sauce one night but they didn't make it past my jaws of death before being ejected (mate scoffed the whole plate).
Only a few things I can't stand - chokoes and cauliflower being the main two. Mum boiled the beejesus of out when young and I've never recovered from that.
