Most definite.Sounds like a Confederate.
They have accomplished a lot. What have the elites accomplished?
Definitely a fluff piece but one thing caught my eye: “Hopefully I get to play alongside him (Sam F) out there on the edges. I’m not too sure what side he’s playing yet, but he’s definitely one of the guys that have impressed me a lot. “Pre season fluff. Let’s hear those words when the chips are down after 3 or 4 losses in a row. Something Romey has never expected
I disagree.Definitely a fluff piece but one thing caught my eye: “Hopefully I get to play alongside him (Sam F) out there on the edges. I’m not too sure what side he’s playing yet, but he’s definitely one of the guys that have impressed me a lot. “
From that I expect we haven't really started working on combinations yet and are focussed on getting the foundation established. Benji, if nothing else, appears to be true to his word - put in off the paddock and you will get opportunities.
With some depth around the squad we may see some real competition for positions. That can only be a good thing for us.
Not sure what you're disagreeing with. That they aren't working combinations yet or that Romey doesn't know what side Sam F is playing yet?I disagree.
Samuela is on the left and will be Luai’s Kikau. Samuela is in for a massive year.
Galvin is working with big red.
Tigers left side will be our most lethal, if Olam is fit and possibly Skelton out there
I reckon If Romey says he doesn't know what side Sam F is playing then that is just a pre-season smokescreen. We all saw Galvin play right on the weekend and he went OK, if a tad too controlling at times. Not sure what you're disagreeing with. That they aren't working combinations yet or that Romey doesn't know what side Sam F is playing yet?
What you say is correct but that was not the point that was being made. The point is that if Luai doesn't know that Sam F is his edge yet - we clearly aren't focussed on working combinations yet. That makes the trials about working the foundation skills and structures.
If we haven’t got combos going yet we are in trouble , it takes weeks to get combos clicking , no way Benji start working them out this week. These guys would be doing it at training now for weeks , if not we will be a mess first 6 rounds , won’t happen , Luai just not giving to much away I feel ,Not sure what you're disagreeing with. Yeah this was my take as well.I reckon If Romey says he doesn't know what side Sam F is playing then that is just a pre-season smokescreen. We all saw Galvin play right on the weekend and he went OK, if a tad too controlling at times.
"I’m not going to give any secrets away, but we’ve been working hard in the pre-season." says it all really.
I think it’s a poor attempt to throw opposition teams off the scent.Definitely a fluff piece but one thing caught my eye: “Hopefully I get to play alongside him (Sam F) out there on the edges. I’m not too sure what side he’s playing yet, but he’s definitely one of the guys that have impressed me a lot. “

Based on what we saw dished up on Sunday there hasn't been much work done on combinations; if there has it was sadly missing. They have all been training together and I expect that what has been named is the likely positions. Perhaps poorly described but I expect that the focus has been on building the foundations running Luai, Galvin, Latu and ? (Naden/Douhie) with a multitude of edge partners to develop the next man up system. So sure there has been work done - but I expect the focus is on getting the structures right before focussing on the detail leading into Round 1.If we haven’t got combos going yet we are in trouble , it takes weeks to get combos clicking , no way Benji start working them out this week. These guys would be doing it at training now for weeks , if not we will be a mess first 6 rounds , won’t happen , Luai just not giving to much away I feel ,
I would go as far as saying. Sam on Luai side , Seyfarth on Galvin side , Bird at lock .
Klemmer and May start up front , TDS start at hooker , Appi out sus
Hunt , pole , Twal , ? Bench maybe Naden
As the right side of the field is the toughest to defend on and as Luai is playing on the left in attack, it stands to reason that Sam, our best edge runner will be on the left as well.Wouldn’t it be interesting if Luai is named to play alongside Latu in this upcoming trial and plays on the right. That would mess with the opposition coaches.
Then again, I don’t think anyone is looking at the Tigers worried about what side Luai is going to line up and who is paired with him. He gave Samuela a massive wrap and not just on his playing talent but his mindset as well, probably an indication that they have been working together closely.
