Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Cmon Tucker...

Bateman was hammering Benji publicly.
Klemmer, from what I can tell hasn't said much and Stef/Paps have slipped a little but not a lot.

It was Bateman who always got quoted as attacking Benji.
Can you give us one quote where Bateman attacked Benji. Easy to talk. Please. Can we see the evidence. If that's okay with yourself. Where is the hammering on paper?

How many on here really cares anymore X he's gone mate why dwell, if he's successful up there good luck to him more interested in who we could possibly get as a replacement that should be the focus.

Exactly. The poster brought it up. Trashing another human that wore our tribal colors. I think that was not fair. So - I asked - as in a fair trial - where is the evidence. Thats all.

Galvin is lucky the media decided to put the super tag on his head after a couple of games and continue to maintain the hype. This will ensure his next contract is well over market value and will probably be crazy money like in the super league war days.

Don’t get me wrong, he has talent and seems a really good kid, but with all the hype we are going to have a lot of competition trying to get him to sign on the dotted line

I don't think the market is necessarily set by what they have achieved, but more by what similar players in demand are getting.

Luai, Sam Walker etc...the bar for available halves players is up around $1m now, if they are considered in that bracket.

I think Galvin will be earning more than we anticipate.
Of course he will. He’s a media darling and will be in hot demand. He’s signaled he wants to leave already by asking for multiple releases. We’ll pay overs (ie won’t be 650) at the very least if he stays (and I don’t think he will regardless).

I respect your opinion. In my opinion - Galvin is the real deal. At the moment. There is more reality than there is hype. Im sure you would agree. The results speak for themselves. The statistics speak for themselves. I love to indulge in reality. Not hype on the contrary. I dont have a crystal ball. I cant see the future. Grant me that. Im just being evidence based.

Galvin is a highly talented young player. He will grow in size and the next two years, when he is signed to WTs, perhaps are the best for him as a 6. Galvin in our NRL team makes us stronger, but so does the presence of Fainu. It will be very interesting to see what eventuates as I recall Gould in commentary last year making the observation Fainu is an NRL half.

The thing I love about Galvin is his work ethic seems the kind of guy that will be first there and last to leave

You either have that or you don't it's a mind set of self discipline

Maybe Gould said that cause he wants Galvin. He's brainwashing Wests Tigers and their fans.

Dylan browns manager is genius hahaha I wouldn’t believe a word he ses.
Ah yes the mystery club that’s willing to offer my client the same money that you I cannot name the club but there real. If you go a little bit higher we will go with you Newcastle hahhaa
A real estate agent wants buyers bidding against one another. Halves are in demand and Brown has been a good footballer for a long time. I don't agree with these clauses in the contracts which allow players and their agents to go to market while under contract. There is no certainty which is exactly what the manager wants.

I would argue that to pay 1 mill a season, a club would want to see at least 2 or 3 seasons of consistency before loading up on a marquee contract like that.

The guys you mention did not get a million bucks at 19.
