However CAUTUION ! This Afghan team are dangerous we were saved last time by a superhuman effort by Maxxy

They should have extra runs given to them because it is such a pleasure for everyone to watch them play

He’s a good looking Tiger, he’s a big part of the reason I have a tash today.
My first ODI live at SCG, I was about 11, he crack a square cut that blew a hole in the fence signage on the first ball and got out on the second.
I hope he sorts out the selections.

Problem is our bowling attack is a collection of guys who play a type of cricket where you bowl max 4 overs ! Oh yea that's called T20
Think our win washes over the point that we conceded 351 runs
Normally in 50 over cricket bowlers do similar to test bowling and change for death overs 45-50
These guys Dwarhius ,Ellis ,Johnson mix up full balls ,Slower ball bouncers,back of the hand cutters etc and run out of ideas after 4 overs

We won because of Inglis ,Carey , Short and Maxxy
Afghanistan have batters that can tear us to shreds
But putting 350 " runs on the board " often puts the team batting 2nd under pressure and hopefully collapses .Hoping that's Afghanistan !

I am not very optimistic either,our bowling attack is threadbare and should make life difficult for this and (if) any other game we play.

Smith loses toss and so we are bowling
And its our 3 very inexperienced seamers to come face to face with Afghanistan openers
One got a century last time they played Australia
The other one got 177 playing England a couple of days ago
Last time they got 290 against us but that was against Starc ,Cummins and Hazelwood
4 teams in this tournament have passed 300 incl us with a record 356 in 47.3 overs

Johnson 1st over bowls a jaffa bowls Gurbaz for a duck but his 2nd over costs 12 so erratic radar all over the place
Dwarshius 2 accurate overs 1-20 after 4 overs

As I feared bowlers finding 4overs on the trot a bit much
T20 does not prepare you for 50 over games
Johnson many wides and swing he can't control its rubbish

Perfect conditions for test match type bowling but our 3 T20 bowlers can't do that !

Finally our experienced ODI bowlers come on and get things back under control .Short does horrible mis field a single becomes 3 off Maxxy
Maxwell and Zampa bowling well

Our slow bowlers get us back in the game 25th over he goes back to seam which goes for 10
Our 3 seamers clueless in this format

Hope Matt Short can bat well because he's a crap fielder 2 or 3 mis fields and twice run out chances throws to wrong end .2nd time batter stranded half way down .
