A 2 year deal at $550k pa would be fair IMO. He played SOO in ‘23 and has played 19 or more games each season since 2015 so has kept his body in good nick.not at that price

When I read that I though it must have been April Fool's Day.Haven’t seen him make lots of clean line breaks?

I’ve said it a few times, and I reckon anyone on here would go back to their childhood club if the club came knocking with a sorry we were idiots back then but we need you and by the way here’s bucket loads of cash.Is that kinda like how Mitch Moses's family weren't happy with how the Eels treated him as a Junior?
I love this reasoning that people 'invent' about a certain player never playing somewhere for some concocted reason that somehow makes it all make sense to them.
Galvin and his whole family are life long Parra fanatics - Somehow that never gets mentioned?
If they were taking odds of Galvin staying at the Tigers, Or moving to the Eels
- The Eels would be more likely shorter.
They have a half break stat these days, how did he fair in that category?7 line breaks last year from 24 games. Real stats. Discuss
Isn’t the difference between Mitch and Galvin that Galvin’s childhood club is Wests / Weststigers juniors where as Mitch started off in Parra juniors?I’ve said it a few times, and I reckon anyone on here would go back to their childhood club if the club came knocking with a sorry we were idiots back then but we need you and by the way here’s bucket loads of cash.
No debate is necessary. The narrative that Galvin's "team" will determine what success looks like for him to re-sign is manure. Did Pole need to determine the club's chances of success before re-signing? The certainty WTs' club and its supporters have is Galvin is contracted for the next 2 years on a modest sum. A lot can happen in 2 years and I believe these will his best at 6. Some have suggested it is only one year because he can sign for another club on 1 Nov. To me that underscores the priority for him to receive an upgrade from another club. Ian Chappell would always say to make the decision that your opponent would least like. We're fortunate Richardson is in charge. We are still debating on whether or not Galvin will extend his contract with us ?
I’m anticipating if we have a better than 50% win record after about 10-12 rounds this season and Galvin is a strong contributor, he will extend with us.
However if we are struggling for wins and well outside the top 8 by rounds 10-12, I think it’s every chance he will be leaning towards departing at the conclusion of his current contract.
Like in every aspect of life, success is crucial and happiness follows.
As for Wests Tigers as a club, not even our harshest critics can be critical of the direction we are heading in all aspects such as recruitment & retention which gives us the best possible chance to get the results required to make our players and fans happy.
The general consensus knows we still need a quality centre, a quality back rower and maybe one more quality depth middle.
I’m sure Richo and Benji are well aware of this and doing all they can to find the right players to bring in and that’s all we can ask for as fans.
I re-watched the Parramatta trial and came out a lot more confident in our forwards ability to collectively go the 80. Really looking forward to the Newy game now.Idk why I really have a special feeling about this year! 💙 I’ve been a Wests Tigers supporter my whole life, this year just feels different. Something is in the air..
I truly believe Jarome Luai and Terrell May will absolutely inspire our team into finals where we go on a massive run just like ‘05! Lachie Galvin will reach new heights with that iconic No.6 jersey on his back just like our Benji did 20 years back. Maybe I’m overreacting, but 20 years on from that amazing GF - the stars may just have aligned!
Dunno. It was even hard to find the line breaks tbhThey have a half break stat these days, how did he fair in that category?
You got stuck in for saying he doesn't make a lot of line breaks. I showed you the stats. 7 from 24 is low.See the results of them?
Not his only job to make line breaks though… he does a whole lot more.
