Remember. A forum member reported this. No.facts. Lawrie ain't signing. I mean what does Benji see that we don't? I thought you all said Benji was smart.Taking Lawrie might be the only way we can get rid of Klemmer given the Dragons have 30 players signed and it doesn’t look like the Molo situation will be resolved anytime soon.
Klemmer was in line to make $1.1m over the next two years (per Chammas). If we got Lawrie for those two years for around $600k that’s a big win IMO as it frees up $500k of salary cap space and that position/roster spot is being paid in line with output I.e. the value is right.
Possibly Galvin could earn more, but V'Landys wants to stop players agitating for releases to earn more elsewhere.I also think that if Galvin signs for another club after 1 Nov 25 he will be released from the final year of his contract, most likely as part of a swap deal.
Isaac Moses would be confident of getting Galvin out of the final year of his deal. Otherwise, it seems too much money for Galvin to leave on the table to play the 25 and 26 seasons under his current contract (without an upgrade and extension). If it’s only 2025, it’s not so bad. Time will tell. It’s great having Latu under contract for three more seasons.
Yes I understand it’s entirely up to us if we release Gavin for 2026.
"Well, he's got a contract, it's very simple. He's got two more years under contract, and we intend to keep him to the contract," he said.I also think that if Galvin signs for another club after 1 Nov 25 he will be released from the final year of his contract, most likely as part of a swap deal.

Make it so the manager gets penalised every time his client breaks a contract and it will stop over night.Possibly Galvin could earn more, but V'Landys wants to stop players agitating for releases to earn more elsewhere.

NRL could stop rewarding players for breaking contracts
One of the biggest bugbears for fans and clubs is when players end up earning more money after walking out on a contract. The practice could soon be over.www.smh.com.au
Not sure how far he'll get with it, but will make things interesting for contracts in general moving forward.
Swear this happened with a parra player not too long agoJust scrolling on social media so it could easily be fake, but apparently Blake Lawrie was spotted leaving the COE today. Could be in relation to Klemmer maybe a swap could be happing if it is legit.
Yeah mate. I get ya and agree. It had more to do with the person. But hey who I am to judge, if he’s not guilty then he is fair game.
He does have fair game, I didn’t see that one, but I’m happy to be educated by those that did. 👍🏻

I don’t reckon there’s a Tiger fan out there who’s not over loosing. I had five blokes laughing at me yesterday bcoz I go for the Tigers, and one of them was a bloody AFL fan. But he still knew we were shite.Yeah mate. I get ya and agree.
Guess after a decade of what we've seen here and In particluar the last couple
of years. I guess i'm just over losing weeekly.

Are you off your meds?
Maybe yes, but clubs move players on too.Make it so the manager gets penalised every time his client breaks a contract and it will stop over night.

Because both of you want to have the last wordYou asked the Question,
and I answered with an instance where it has in fact happened - Quite Recently.
You're the one that turned it into some stupid back and forth with shifting of the goal posts.
Should it happen - No,
Is it Madness - Of Course it is.
Has it happened - Yes
Could it possibly happen (Or possibly already have happened with Galvin - Hence the release request)
Yes.
Again,
You asked the Question
- My answer to that Question was a very brief and simple yes.
And you seem to agree - Why are we here?
I just say to people that someone has to come last , and as a loyal support I just hang in there , that takes the wind out of there agendaI don’t reckon there’s a Tiger fan out there who’s not over loosing. It’s painful.
Blake Lawrie, he looks like he has been playing overweight for season after season if he was to come to us he would go straight into the fat club, to get him fit he would end up at under a 100kg and probably not enough impact, my thoughts a strong no way.Hope not. Waste of $$$ and roster spot. Wouldn’t crack the 17.
The thing is if he would stop being silly and reply some more serious comments, they would be a good read, come on X you are obviously smart why not show us.Happens 10 times a day....
Dribbles absolute crap - Can't pick who he's responding to most of the time...
Seems it's himself more often than not.

Agree totally if we were to swap with Lawrie this would be a poor trade, better off keeping Klemmer, I can't believe that Richo would touch this with a ten-foot pole if they do the club hasn't learnt a thing. If we take Lawrie it wouldn’t be for 1 season. We don’t get an upgrade roster wise. It’s a backwards move. I doubt he signs for a minimum contract so cap wise it will hardly be a win.
We have Klemmer and are paying him this season, it’s clear we won’t for next season as we have zero intention to play him, if we agree to Lawrie it helps the Dragons out more than us as Molo is gone anyway.
Hopefully we continue to remain patient and see it out for the right roster upgrade move.
