OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277 *Released* Career Discussion.

It seems the chances of news/drama surrounding Lachlan Galvin isn't going to stop any time soon. It's destabilizing influence on the team and the supporters are absolutely sick of hearing about it. Galvin turns 20 in July, he's not a child and regardless of how influential his parents or Isaac Moses are, he must have an understanding of the ramifications of his actions, or lack of. We need a settled team, Latu in 5/8 and no more drama.

Well said. And no contract releases. If form and commitment don’t hold up, have fun in Reggie’s .

Well it's time to get Latu ready for his position and when he is move him into it, if I was the tigers this would be the last straw he will become like a boil on Wests Tigers arse it needs to be lanced, when Latu's ready move Galvan to another position or reserve grade for the season then come November look for a useful trade, had a gutful of him and his slimey manager.

Ahh try and look at it as a glass half full, glass half full situation.
If Galvin has an outstanding season we might make the 8, lift our profile and how other recruit perceive the standings / chances of the club moving forwards.
If he has a terrible season it drops his value, his profile and makes him a hard sell for anyone else and questionable even if he is the guy for us.
Either way if he is determined regardless of what his future destination might be, it’s only a good thing for the team as a whole.
Maybe in time if Latu is knocking down the door and Galvin is ineffective in the spine a switch may be on the cards.
I’ve watched this game long enough to know that coaches aren’t fickle, aren’t stubborn, if a talented player can contribute to a teams success in the present they will use them.

I know im deluded, maybe it was intentional to prompt a fast track on contract negotiations.
Would be no surprise at all the mental card has already been played so a new angle may be needed to achieve their goal, these deadshit managers need to be removed from the game the NRL needs to run their own player managers, these other turds are stinking up the game the more they are allowed to be involved the worse it will get.

I feel I’ve watched this movie before…

Galvin is confronted by club officials and put on notice.
Galvin says sorry but was an honest mistake 🤮.
Tigers have put forward fair contract offers. Club reshuffles team/squads as negotiations stalls.Form drops (if it hasn’t already)
Galvin’s camp cries foul, poorly treated, being played out of position and/or grade and asks for multiple early releases, mental health suffers, leans on the players union.
Club gets dragged through mud, needs the top 30 spot and eventually cuts ties.

I hope but don’t have confidence that Galvin is professional and tries his best with us for 2 years.

NRL need to back tigers here.

It’s not the Managers fault, it’s the contract rules that are ruining the game.
Players, media, clubs should sign a NDA until the season is completed to announce club moves.
Imagine if the brown deal was signed and known by club, team but no one could announce it.
The only announcement would be that Brown has informed the Eels he is leaving as per his contract clause option.
Speculation could be where is he going etc, but the details of the contract would be confidential until the end of the season.

How is it Galvins fault that the media has decided to make a frenzy out of nothing?

This has to be zero hour for the Tigers organisation. Richo has either turned the club around or its the same old circus it was with trackies and chupa chups.

No more fluffing spiders. The offer is on the table, sign it now or piss off back to reserves for the rest of the year never to be mentioned by the Tigers club again, 1st grade development for his next club halted, lets see how that ego and profile goes swallowed up in the reggies wilderness. Latu comes straight in to be developed in our favour. Nips all the 'destabilisation' talk crap in the bud and the club moves on immediately with or without him. On 250K, no loss to the cap, plays it out in reggies or he signs on and he is embraced by the club and fans as a favourite son for the next 5-8 year contract.

Its almost like this stuff is as simple as it gets.

You have been fired up the last few days Winston you can see the old Wests Tigers players exodus loop on repeat again, agree a line in the sand moment let's see how good Richo is with how he deals with this.

I bet it doesn’t happen like that at all…

Written fiction before?

He won’t dropped of shifted position. He’ll be our 5/8 for the whole season. Question is what happens when he signs with another club over the off season. Do we just let him go early? Cos at that point, you’re better off wrapping up long term and giving him the keys. I suppose given Galvin won’t be on much coin, so we can’t probably afford to experiment with him in the centres or even the forwards. You absolutely DO NOT play him at 5/8.
