Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Interesting that DCE is leaving Manly and from the media report I read on MSN, intends to continue playing. Are Manly not willing to match offers from other clubs or, is DCE intending to return home to the Dolphins or another QLD club? It seems Richardson's setting of boundaries with Moses over Galvin will have consequences for Manly. It seems Manly were aware DCE would not re-sign.

Was he REALLY??

He shat the bed on his first conversion attempt...

And despite being named at centre - Ryles had him defending outside Samrani because he was so bad in his preferred position...

And his retreating defence with a rookie centre inside him - for the Xerri try was totally inexcusable for an Origin/Test rep!!

He has always done fancy stuff - but routinely gets the basics wrong and is more often on the losing side as a result!
Give the guy a break, he hasn't unleashed his devastating flick pass to the winger yet, you know, the one that 9 times out of 10 goes over the side line. 🤣

To be fair, he was the best player on field for the Parra-sites (probably both sides for that matter) and the rest just stood back hoping he could pull off a famous victory for them.

Manly's house of cards looking shakey.

Turbo already missing games with the hamstring.

DCE moving on.

Seibs will get harpooned IMO.
Is DCE moving on though?
The king of the backflips said he's leaving, we've heard that from him before. It's just a meaningless utterance.
Nobody told DCE when he was young that the only thing a man will ever own in life is his word and his good name, everything else can be taken away from you.

Its not necessarily a straight equation like that..u cld start him and stretch him to 50 mins and not lose a lot.
Some big forward packs coming up and were down at least one middle
And btw,Id like to see May play just a little less...fear he will burn out by mid season
Over time you could get Hunt playing more minutes, though how that affects his impact iv no idea till it happens, which it prob will.

Wow, I just can't picture him as anything other than a Manly player, if he does go and plays on my moneys on the Roosters.

Pencil neck has always chased the money which is why he nearly left years but had to reneg when Manly threw a bottomless pit of money at him to get him to change his mind.Good player but many Manly supporters dislike him the same way they disliked Bob Fulton and for the same reasons.

Well Lomax is the better all round player, but for half the contract value Turuva is doing brilliantly for us so far.
In a perfect world we would have Lomax at right centre with Turuva on the wing, but that never happened, so Taylan May would be a decent recruit rather than just sticking with two of your favourites in Doueihi and To’a, don’t you think ?
Doueihi one of my favourites???

The fact that Ryles already has Lomax defending on the wing outside a three game rookie suggests he is not the centre we need!

Im not quite sure if that is all accurate mate. Manly prioritsed Foran, until he went to Parra, they then threw the kitchen sink at DCE to avoid losing both.

Probably a fallout after this DCE news, could be player unrest. Olakuatu? F*ck he'd be an amazing get for us. He's very close with the Fainus could be our drawcard.
I doubt it, although I would take Olakuatu in a heartbeat. He’s signed until 2031 at Manly they would be incredibly dumb to let him go. It sounds like a fallout between DCE and Seibold, Seibold wasn’t invited to DCE’s wedding so that’s my guess as to why he’s leaving.

I believe that it actually goes higher than Seibold, despite the fact that he’s divided the club. it’s mainly to do with Mestrov.

from a Wests Tigers point of view, this doesn’t help us in regards to Galvin’s retention, given it’s a spot at one of Isaac Moses’ McDonald’s franchises.
