He’s an absolute beast. No secret In NZ the kid tore teams apart playing centre last year.

He did well, but that was poor defence by us. Flimsy attempt by Bula, to put it nicely.
Only saw him last week for about 20 mins. He's exactly the type we need.

Our issues are clear as are the gaps in the roster. Centre and back row. Unfortunately they are two of the most key positions outside of the spine. Gould spoke about it this week. We are not far away Makasini when ready, Taylan May and a rep level edge forward and we will challenge the top sides.
To be fair we had 5 outside backs unavailable from our top 30 tonight - Skelton, Douehi, Staines, Naden and Olam. Take 5 outside backs out of any top 30 and your going to be down to guys like Faatape.
Of course we have a centre spot open now Olam is retired and our backrow stocks are thin but Fainu went off injured when our bench was already to halves/hookers with the Douehi injury. It's an unusual situation we couldn't do much about.

That was a bad miss by Bula and Bird. I expect Bula to make those. And I think if Faatape is replaced by Skelton or Douehei we win that. We knew depth would be our issue this season and here it is.

Agree. Not much around the backrower market . Best are Keaon Koloamatangi, Sorensen, wong, sua and Angus crighton. Crighton or sua would be my pick . I think they are all off contract end of the year

Whilst F made a bad decision re the kick ahead he didn’t do too badly imo.
Try, chase and tackle in goal, hit ups and kick off catches.

they need someone now … when you see Tony Sukkar as their back row expanded bench option ..it’s pretty scary …it’s only a matter of time before he is called upon
toa is so relaxed, he nearly bombed his own try by diving 10 meters before the try line and it nearly spilling out - for no reason.... thats why he only plays one good game out of 10.
