Wonder where Sammy F would be especially if he didn’t miss 2 rounds
Don't think Samuela would rate on this years form, last year he could very well have been there, it's obvious that he is not what he was last season and that he has been carrying some injuries this year.

Confirms what a lot of us are thinking, that we have players in all positions that fall into the top 10, some only just, but second row is definitely an area that we definitely need some depth and improvement.

Can't help but notice that neither of our "big name" forwards that we let go currently feature in the top 10 at this stage.

Mate, if he's loving it so much, he can sacrifice some salary to stay
I was going to write the exact same thing when I posted that though he never kicked rocks always tried and seems like an all round top bloke. I can't blame him for our stupid admin paying him 500k a year he's entitled to it, not his fault.

I really don’t get this train of thought and many on here blocking someone’s path
Imo if they are going to be any good they will pave their own path
Lots of our junior’s get talked up but very little make it

I believe the thought is that if the player is a developing junior with proven talent then by bringing an outsider in ahead of him it may push your junior to look elsewhere or feel his future is limited.
Your point is valid however, so careful choices and shorter contracts for these outside players should solve the problem.

can play, but I wonder whether we’ll be mindful of blocking Tame Havea’s pathway.
Havea is 16 years old and at least 4-5 years off first grade... He has a lot of development left and growing to do. Who knows if he will even make grade, and if he does it may not even be in the 13 position. Kids grow, skills develop.

Three years ago in the Harold Matts Galvin was playing back row, Luke Laulilii was playing fullback, Heath Mason was playing 5/8 and Kit Laulilii was playing lock. All in different positions currently.
