At least the club has optics on which player to prioritise.
It’s why they needed Galvin to make a call one way or the other

Club Statement: Lachlan Galvin
We would like to announce that Lachlan Galvin will not be with the club beyond the 2026 season.www.weststigers.com.au
I’ve never seen a statement like that so far out from contract time. But I guess it helps diminish some of the uncertainty.I can't recall a club statement like that ever before. If the club is intent on holding Galvin to his contract, I would suggest moving Galvin to the backrow as soon as Latu returns from injury. Aside from Latu, we have other options of varying quality, including Doueihi, Bird, Falls, Liles and Ackland. The latter two have been pretty impressive in their limited opportunities though they're very green.
Galvin has to go. If we leave him at 5/8 when Latu is injury free we are dumber than a bag of rocks. All our focus and attention now must be on developing Latu. He is out future now, bugger results. We invested 2 years with this scumbag, he wants out, we need to think about us and us alone.I don't think Benji is going to bench Galvin results to him and us as a club is too important atm. I do see Latu getting more of a shot if he can get ontop of his own injuries, and if Galvin starts to unsettle the team with his release rubbish and form dips he more droppable now.
I like Galvin and although he is frustrating at times you can see his potential, but im not paying through the nose Dylan Brown style to keep him. We'll unbalance our cap and thats the last thing we need.

But what does it matter where he goes ?Bulldogs have not renewed Sexton and want Mahoney gone. Its a worry....
They have nipped his stinking manager in the bud from trying to bend our cap out of shape or using us for better money elsewhere. It’s why they needed Galvin to make a call one way or the other

The club has already said he won't be here so we won't be an option
His Mrs just did her ACL over in England and will likely be back in Australia for a whileThere is speculation Nathan Cleary might be off to the Super League to be closer to his partner. He has achieved everything in the NRL. The NRL wants a stake in the Super League and this would be their marquee signing.
When Andrew Johns commented 'imagine the legacy if you stay at the tigers long term and lift them off the bottom how absinthe that will feel'At least the club has optics on which player to prioritise.
Paying Galvin a $1m a season based on how he played yesterday may cause disruption in the dressing shed.Galvin has to go.
