It’s not going to happen this week, but the club is crazy if they don’t put him on the back burner ASAP.At 13? Latu might not be the answer either ..so better to find that out sooner than later

Galvin is a rake , he’s not a lock now and maybe never will be.At 13? Latu might not be the answer either ..so better to find that out sooner than later
Well, I think that Richo has been in enough situations like this to know when Galvin isn't being straight. There's wanting to go to market, and there's wanting to go to market. When we have cards in our hand like Latu, you don't play games with a player that has a foot out the door. Look at what happened with Stefano - we let him go and picked up Terrell, a player that genuinely wants to play at the Tigers. The club statement says otherwise. Too many emotions flowing on here. We have two years with a quality developing spine, including Galvin.
Why don't you think it'll happen this week? It’s not going to happen this week, but the club is crazy if they don’t put him on the back burner ASAP.
To put it bluntly, our backrow is garbage. Twal and Seyfarth are honest toilers, nothing more. Galvin could be an excellent stopgap until we recruit a replacement or one of our juniors like Phoenix Godinet is ready for first grade.Never for dropping your best players but don't see any reason now to persist with Lachy in FG unless we are riddled with injury.
I'd rather go with Mason if Latu is not fit even Douehi and put Naden in the centres
You do if you have an equally talented half who now if you believe the MSN article is attracting interest from others clubs via his manager. All I’m saying is, you don’t drop a bloke based solely on him not signing for life.
Galvin is a rake , he’s not a lock now and maybe never will be.
Galvin's defence is poor, at best.To put it bluntly, our backrow is garbage. Twal and Seyfarth are honest toilers, nothing more. Galvin could be an excellent stopgap until we recruit a replacement or one of our juniors like Phoenix Godinet is ready for first grade.
Agree , I feel his parents are heavily involved and have been swept of there feet by a Gould or Politis , Galvin has a deal like I mentioned last week , 5 years x $ 1 million with all the other behind the scenes stuff , back to reserve grade now , we need players who are committed to the club and team Galvin is not one of those players , drop the guy today , and if he is on $ 250 then $ 350. Keep him there , he can warm the pine in reserve grade , Latu now needs to be given the same chance Galvin gotCan’t say I have seen a club announce a player’s departure six months before they are free to negotiate with another club. He and his family must have some serious contempt for this club. Might as well drop him now. Who cares.
He’s a Cambo kid mate - a box of vapes should cover it 👍what brand will the bbq be, will he even know how to operate it?
Yeah agree...but i was talking about isaac moses....if every club boycotted him...his clients would go elsewhere and hed be screwedHe will be if he picks up a serious injury before this season is through. An ACL or torn pec would destroy his value for next season. Not to mention if it’s a Tuiaki or Alex McKinnon type injury. You never know. It’s idiotic to sit on so much money when this occupation is one that could be taken from you in the blink of an eye.
is it possible that the club will change it's mind or is it done?
It's not punishing him, it's doing the best thing for the club. How does it make sense for the tigers to continue to develop him when we have another option that is up to it and needs development? He made he call, he knows the potential consequences. You don't punish Galvin for signing elsewhere- that opens the club up for questions of bias & isn't a good look for the players at the club for future contract deals.
You let Galvin's play determine if he's in 1st grade or not.
If he plays well- you pick him.
If he is outplayed- you pick the guy that outplays him.
It is now up to Galvin as to what grade he plays. I wouldn't even consider releasing him. If he rides the KOE pine, he's not sinking the club's salary cap. He doesn't have that hanging over the club.
It's in his best interest to play well.
But now the leash is short, and there are options if he doesn't perform.
