It was a huge investment in someone that hadn't really earned the salary yet and it was a huge show of faith by the club. Ultimately, it was kicked back in our face.

That's fine, because we won't have huge money wrapped up in a half that's still learning how to play first grade. By the time his next contract is up, we know what sort of player he's going to be.

Latu has different strengths and is a great ball runner and can put guys into space too. He will be a more than handy replacement.

We also have Bud that may come back and if not, we have time to find the next young half coming through.

If we add a couple of great forwards, our team looks good with or without Galvin.

Brent Read seems to believe there is no issue with Moses and Richo and they’ve repaired their relationship. Godinet who’s one of his clients just re-signed.

The issue seems to be between Moses and Benji. Moses has been behind the Benji can’t coach campaign in the media. He’s been quick to get Bateman, Klemmer and now Galvin out of the club since Benji took over. You can bet he was in Batemans ear last year which led to Bateman and Benjis relationship breakdown.

Best way to silence the “Benji can’t coach” campaign is to win games and prove that he can. The other way is to throw money at his clients, because Moses loves that.
 
Richo has done a great job in bringing this to a head. No one is bigger than the club. Let the lanky prick go and use the money wisely to extend all the good non Isaac Moses players.

And noting Bula is a bible basher, id be giving him cryptic biblical comments about Moses e.g. why are you siding with Judas? Do you remember what happened to Judas when he sold out? You wouldnt want to die from guilt like Judas would you? Your 12 apostles need you. Lachlan is the DEVIL! And id go up to Galvin's change area and draw like horns and shit (Galvin already has a shit moustache and goatee).

100%. You don't turn down $1M per year for 5 years unless you are very confident you have as good or better offer incoming. Nobody who isn't already a billionaire walks away from $5M guaranteed.
 
All in on Latu stuff this little cretin, give Latu the same opportunities Galvin has had to shine and see how he goes.
Stick Galvin in reserves make a stand draw a line in the sand, all these excuses getting made for him such as he's only 19 ect ect its the people behind him that are doing the talking. Play reggies do your time watch Latu take your spot and keep crying in the media.
 
Just to round off the day - I can't believe we've just announced one of our best ever prospects leaving, yet still feel so optimistic for the future.

In the past something like this would absolutely deflate us, and piss me right off.

If Galvin was just announced to be leaving I would have been disappointed but would have wished him well. But now all the panning of Benji has turned him from one of my favourite players to someone I hate. Even if it’s not from him directly he’s letting his manager do this and his father wouldn’t even answer a call from the club.
Absolutely disgraceful.

Give him a chance to call the coaching stuff media BS before stringing him up. We all know how a Tigers story can get beat up.

I know this is not the Galvin thread but yep, this has really dirtied his name.

Benji is loved and respected.
He's not a veteran coach and is developing in this role.
If this comment is true (or not, for that matter, its coming from LG or some one at camp, yes, Moses) is very disrespectful in this situation as Benji has done everything he possibly can for Galvin.

Isaac Moses likes having his name under the spotlight?

Because this has all been bad press for him and Galvin as far as I've seen.
