As others have said, Galvin stays till November 2026 if we don’t get a top shelve player in return for a early release.
Happy for him to ride the pines at Lidcombe oval for 18 months, but we should not entertain the idea of releasing him if there is no advantage for us.
I have no problem with him knocking us back, that’s professional sport, but you don’t torch the joint that gave you your big break. It showed a real lack of class on his behalf

This is the big advantage of having an experienced operator such as Richo as our CEO, the player managers try and play us and have been very successful in doing so in the past, but Richo is on the front foot to ensure the whole rugby league world knows how it’s being played out from a Wests Tigers point of view.
One thing I will say is we should all really take a deep breath, put two and two together and realise there is probably more to the story from Lachie Galvin’s point of view.

Irrespective of the outcome with Taylans contract, hope he can make something of himself and glad he's giving it a shot. Like to see any young person with issues especially if they are a parent, turn it around

Silver lining in all of this, we’ve got a much better chance of not only retaining Latu long term but also Samuela and Sione.
The priority should now be retaining TDS and making sure there are no issues with keeping Bula.

Listening Read's voice on 360 (with Moses' hand up his clackers doing the actual talking) I think its clear what happened and Richo did a great job.
They wanted to string the club along to up his value in the lead up to Nov.
Richo forced an answer early, very good offer, but you have to sign. This isn't the position the Galvin camp wanted to be in, and the damage control is hilarious with all the journalists scrambling to defend Moses and his client. They wanted to say no in Nov or even next year if the price was still going up, but I guess Richo rightly identified we need to plan for us. Not Galvin, his Dad, his manager or his pet budgie.

That's fine, because we won't have huge money wrapped up in a half that's still learning how to play first grade. By the time his next contract is up, we know what sort of player he's going to be.
Latu has different strengths and is a great ball runner and can put guys into space too. He will be a more than handy replacement.
We also have Bud that may come back and if not, we have time to find the next young half coming through.
If we add a couple of great forwards, our team looks good with or without Galvin.

Brent Read seems to believe there is no issue with Moses and Richo and they’ve repaired their relationship. Godinet who’s one of his clients just re-signed.
The issue seems to be between Moses and Benji. Moses has been behind the Benji can’t coach campaign in the media. He’s been quick to get Bateman, Klemmer and now Galvin out of the club since Benji took over. You can bet he was in Batemans ear last year which led to Bateman and Benjis relationship breakdown.
Best way to silence the “Benji can’t coach” campaign is to win games and prove that he can. The other way is to throw money at his clients, because Moses loves that.
