We are already paying a little bit of Sullivan's salary to pay for the Rabbitohs and you want Galvin who might be on $400k or so to just sit in reserve grade when we can literally sell him next year to someone for $700k+ and use that salary to buy a centre or a backrower?
I'm all for sticking it to Galvin but doing it at the team's expense is literally the opposite of Team First mentality.
We are playing Douehi at halfback this week, a guy who hasn't played halfack every in his NRL career and the last time he played in the halves was probably 2 years ago.
The narrative will very quickly change from pro-Tigers. Basically, within a day or two, people will see Galvin's side of things (again, Galvin is not wrong for declining the offer). The other side of the coin is that Galvin doesn't want to commit to the team that has come last 3 years in a row and has a coach who clearly doesn't have a resume to be a first grade coach.
Holy strawman and goalpost shifting Batman.
Firstly, I literally said we keep him in reserve UNLESS we get an offer for someone like Preston or Haumole.
Secondly, Galvin is on no more than 350K which is nothing considering the cap space we already have for next year so try again.
Thirdly, sticking Galvin in the reserves does nothing to hurt the team, especially considering the senior players requested him to be taken out of first grade. So tell me how him being in reserves is the opposite of team first? And don’t tell me it’s his gameplay because you’ll all but confirm you haven’t been watching the games this season
Lastly, Moses minions have already been peppering the media with those stories about the club and Benji ever since Galvin requested a release last year so you’re going to have come up with another bullshit argument.
And no the solution is not releasing a joint statement about the two sides backing each other after what has occurred which btw is one of the dumbest ideas ever floated on this forum so congratulations
