OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277 *Released* Career Discussion.

Honestly releasing him is our best option. If he stuck in reverse grade and we lose q game first question asked in a press conference is "would you have won with Galvin"? Also if he plays its gonna be definitely awkward with playing group. Better we get this situation done with the better.

Braith putting Benny in his place and watching Benny shake his head in anger really made my week.
What concerns me is how much he believes that the club has done the wrong thing...

And that's the narrative they are going to sell the RLPA on...

They are cunning and persistent sales people... They know how to spin a story..

It's why we have to sack turuva for a week. We have to show that we are punishing him for stepping out of line, otherwise the Galvin management team will eat us up..

One wrong step is all it takes...

It's all about public perception...

How ?
We can get a good player in return if we play our cards right.
If we don't it's a missed opportunity.

What everyone is missing here is that Galvin hasn't actually been great for the team and doesn't warrant first grade selection

The moment Galvin advised the club he'd no longer be here, the strategy of blooding him needed to be adjusted.

Galvin runs the ball too much and doesn't pass enough. He throws miracle balls on zero tackle. Kicks the ball dead giving the opposition 7 tackle sets. He isn't ready for first grade, but Benji gave him the platform to develop so that he would be ready sooner.

I almost chocked on my beer reading this.
You and I had many arguments last year due to me holding and expressing these exact views.
You have been red pilled?
Good post man, I agree.

Nah he’s right . Not punish , but an official verbal warning we can take to the meeting with the rlpa. You can’t claim bullying as a club ,if the club openly reprimands the behaviour that’s contributing to the bullying .
Because , all the Galvin camp can do is take circumstantial evidence to the rlpa and the nrl, the club can easily take hard documentation disputing it .
You can’t fight it ….. legally . You can’t !

Yeah nah....

Shit idea - releasing him without adequate compensaion only hurts the Tigers!

A mooted player swap for anyone would have to at the same low contract value and that of zero benefit to us.

He should just suck it in and be retained as a squad member - while playing reggies and watching his market value plummet!

But thanks for your input Mrs Galvin!

I agree, Richo and Benji sit him down and explain the jeopardy he could place the club and himself in with posts like the one he put up and a reprimand about that use of social media. Dont do it again. ETC.

After watching May's most recent vlog it could be that galvin just struggles to get along with men or big personalities. You see it in normal workplaces kids come from school where they are the big dogs and then quickly get put in there place by men in the workforce.
Last year galvin was given the keys and was the big dog, this year not so much. I think this is shown in May's vlogs as galvin looks increasingly shy and stand off ish towards the camera, as the season has progressed.
Last year I get he wanted to leave due to loosing games but this year I think the new dominant personalities may have put him off the club.
I wouldn't be surprised if this stops him from signing with the dogs. Parramatta though don't really have that problem except for maybe the fox.

Exactly! Officially record the meeting…. And anyone pushing the bullying narrative is dead in the water .
