OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277 *Released* Career Discussion.

He dug his own hole X did he think there would be no blow back, he would have been told by Moses to expect criticism with the strategy they took.
Yeh. That sounds like Moses. "This one's on you kid. Business is business. Money first. Humans second - Greed is good. You deal with the humans - I will deal with the books - im right next to you if you need me"

Yep. I can’t see anyway that he stays here. It seems clear he is not liked by his peers….including the Reggie’s who are surely filthy that this kid knocked back an opportunity they will never ever receive. I’m certain management will be very cold to him as well. The fans will be ferocious next time he takes the field. How does he attend official functions? Joint training sessions?
That's his problem. He made his bed and now he needs to lay in it!

Didnt he say he was putting his extension on hold for at least a year to make his decision on his future so he could concentrate on his development. So why was the rumour mill in overdrive about his future at this early stage . I am sure this was orchestrated by his management resulting in the club making an early offer , and instead of taking the higher ground and letting the dust settle he or his manager play the Coach as the issue. This now means that to save face he has to accept the demotion and now in no way this enhances his product value to a new club. For all the people saying his Manager or parents only looking out for him , they have now had the opposite effect on their prodigy . I can only support the club in coming to this decision not to allow his manager to control the narrative.
Agree with what you’re saying —however I think all of this coming to ahead the situation is untenable for Galvin and the club he will probably play the bullying mental health card.(we’ll soon see how it plays out) interesting that only a couple of months ago. Benji said that he loved Lochie in the side and what he brings to the table
said he was always bouncing around on game day so excited that he could play so many facets to this story.

Happy for him, genuinely.
I know people who have been through the same process and come out much stronger and wiser.
I am sure the tigers will be here to offer him a contract when he's ready for it.
It’s what was needed. Would be irresponsible and a recipe for disaster by giving him a contract without making sure he did something to better himself first.

I feel so much more at ease now that Galvin has broken his silence....... C'mon piss off. He's a douchebag. Galvin can't honestly think we are all stupid enough to believe that this came out because he had WTs future interests at heart and was allowing us time to build. If that's the best him and his old man could come up with, then they both have shit for brains. Anyway, based on what he said in his press release, he will have no problem sitting in reserves until the end of next year, so we can continue to develop which he was kind enough to allow us to do. Youve just sent career back 18 months you idiot. Please WTs, do not release this bloke. He's disrespected Benji, the club, his team mates and must learn his lesson.
I agree, but I think the situation is untenable for the club and the player. I can’t see them keeping him hanging around. I could be wrong but I don’t see any other way moving forward on this

Think I have worked out where the little shit is off to , it’s the DOGS , Burton to fullback leaving him with the 5/8 roll , so Gus will increase his call for a mental health check for Galvin , this way he gets a release sooner

Wasn’t Tumeth playing Ron Massey recently? He’s Top 30.

I think you can drop them wherever you want. Galvin probably still eligible for juniors if we want to bring him back to reality a little further.

The biggest problem I can see is him getting himself sacked or just not turning up. Eg. Molo. Then we lose a pawn for a decent swap deal.

Not sure what the rules are if he quits/purposely gets sacked - whether the NRL will kick him out of the game until his contract was up or whether he can just forfeit his money here and sign elsewhere.
The difference here is that the club would love Tumeth to ask for a release. He has no value to the club. At this stage, Glavin has great value to the club as a potential trade.

He is a grown man who can take on 120Kg forwards, but we are worried about his mental state. Please. He created this situation and needs to learn from it for the future. the league world does nott revolve around him. A spoilt brat with a dickhead for a manager. They deserve each other and what follows.
I'm not the least bit worried about his mental state. Couldn't care less but I don't want to lose our advantage in the public opinion arena and give Moses an opportunity to play the mental health card.

People still are mesmerised by the good things Galvin does on the field , so what he’s saying is … Galvin >>>> AD . That’s what he means. Galvin absolutely killed our attack on Sunday . It was driving me crazy . So many times he just need to straighten and feed the ball along and he decided to crab across field and run in between the 2 and 3 man defenders where the centres and edge back rower should be running . It drove me crazy to be honest .
If that’s the rest of 2025 version of Galvin , which I’m guessing he’s been told by his management to play that way to put himself in the shop window.
I’d rather luai on the left with the ball in his hands zipping around , and AD giving early ball to Toa and Bula down the right .
Galvin is the 4th best player in our spine . No matter how good he is .
He’s not better than luai , he’s not better than Bula and he’s definitely not better than Api . And only the biggest homers of all time , can say what I just said isn’t true .
People think because Galvin has the try assists that he’s all the attack , when in reality , the gameplan was setup so whoever had the ball in that situation was to make that play .
Like the Toa try . People saying it was Galvins try assist that put toa in the hole .
He literally just passed Toa the ball . Toa , changed his line and moved in and away while the ball was in flight , and wrecked Best before he caught the ball . Zero of that was Galvin . But because he passed the ball OMG …..
like half the tries we scored in previous weeks were because Luai sucked in a whole bunch of defenders gets it to the edges for Galvin or Bula to draw and pass and get the stat sheets glory . There’s 1 try I give Galvin that was all him , but I think it was coaching in the first place to point out the wings stay up and are exposed behind .
Was the kick to Luke down the edge a couple of weeks ago . Other than that , you can tell there’s game plans around who to target in defence , and and he’s just executing on those game plans . To be honest with luai there , the percentage of really 1 in 4 strike rate on taking advantage of these defensive errors , I think increase exponentially . And the right side IMO , is not like this creative masterclass , it’s giving with to Toa and Turuva and watch them work their magic .
Look, there is no denying that Galvin has an incredible nack of knowing when to time a pass and how hard to throw it. It’s been seen multiple times this season. So to say a try he has been involved in passing a ball has nothing to do with him is a reach. I’d go as far to say I think to this date we have not have another half in our side pick a pass to the same effect.
But besides that, there are areas of him game that need improvement. And he will have his chance with more time and space in the grade below to develop that, exactly what he wanted, but not exactly how he expected it.
