OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277 *Released* Career Discussion.

If they had a genuine concern, they wouldn't play it out in the media as normally a person who felt such a grievance would have to approach their manager and seek a discussion and mediation with the person involved. Further, bullying is not usually considered a one-off situation - it's a sustained behaviour.
I know I'm stating the obvious in saying it's a letter just to provoke further reaction from the club.
I hope we offer to resolve any perceived issues and enter a mediation process. Straight bat approach.
It’s a tactic, not a genuine concern
Our admin should have anticipated this move.
We know he has receipts, so we need to address them headon.

I beg to differ

How? So your saying the other 26 players are being bullied for not being invited to those meetings? It's not the team, it's a meeting for select players the coach believes implements our structure. Its painfully clear Galvin doesn't do that with his style of play. Who the coach believes should be in those meeting is 100% at Benji's subjective discretion.

Allegedly

Or are you believing weidler,?

From what’s been said from both sides now, I believe Richo fcked up in that meeting by shutting down the reading of the grievances list. Had he listened to what they were saying, he could have dealt with them behind closed doors. Now they are going to drip feed them to the public until the weight of opinion turns against the club.
Obvious tactic that I’m surprised Richo failed to identify.
It certainly appears that their side is playing the game a lot smarter than ours are.

About what ? Who are the people in our spine . The 2 captains , and the fullback who has shown. Nothing by leadership . It’s could very well have been a leadership meeting … the only way we know it was a spine meeting was because that’s the way Galvin and his management names it … even TDS has been tapped on the shoulder as a future tigers captain .

So far on social media 98% of people seem to be on Wests Tigers side to this. Hopefully it remains. I think people are a bit wiser than a few years ago for this stuff. Non Tigers fans are shitting on Galvin. I kinda feel bad for him. Isaac Moses is such a loser. Benji we know how important mental health is for him. I really feel for Benji. Its almost like narcassist abuse.

@Tucker I know you run a business. What would have you done with that approach from Moses and Galvin’s camp in a big contract situation if your counter party said don’t bother and we’ll list why in a meeting? I know you’ll say listen, but I gather they said don’t bother with any offer and the grievances came after that. We are dealing with a scum bag and I think richo did all he could in an untenable position when he knew what would come after the meeting if he didn’t get on the front foot.

People saying Galvin is soft etc are missing the point. This is a planned move, it's not about Galvin's feelings. Big money contract waiting at the club he wants, Moses creating a strategy to get him there.
So let me get this right … Galvin had the opportunity to become a 1-club player & be the local junior who led the club to the promised land (that is what movies are made of). Instead he has set himself up to be the kid who had the world at his feet but was led astray by poor advisors and became one of the most unliked players by fans & players. Sad!

We don’t know the full situation ..and I’m not going to play a speculation game about the purpose of the meeting and whether everyone else from the subgroup was present other than our boy… Im making more of a general point that this could be grounds for something that is considered a workplace bullying incident …more so then the social media stuff …IMO

I don't see how drip feeding it to the public sways opinion?

Let's remember Moses said (Im paraphrasing) "don't even bother giving us a contract to review, we aren't looking at it, we are leaving, we don't believe in the direction of coach and club".

So why would richo listen to the greviences when it's been made clear he won't resign?

They will drip feed them regardless to suit their agenda.
I don't see what else Richo could have done sit there and listen to a bunch of rubbish from a 19yr old. You can't sit there and cop what would likely be insignificant issues.
We've pandered to this kid from the get go, imo that's where we've erred in this situation, we've contributed to his over inflated ego.

Solution, stick him in Ron Massey cup , he’s then away from benji and the players , he would have no contact with the nrl side or nsw cup , and even better make him 18th man every week , that will fix the little grub
I understand that under the latest RLPA agreement, players who are dropped lower than Reserve Grade have a case for a release from their contract. So bench or 18th man for NSW Cup it is!

In hindsight I think you’re right - should have listened, big I think in the moment he just thought it was rubbish and an attempt to play clubs off against each other to create a bidding war.

Yeah because parra are now bidding against themselves and an imaginary offer from the Dogs.

The dogs won’t touch him, as a bulldogs hater I could admit they have built an amazing culture, one which they could not jeopardise for Galvin. Tigers have essentially have essentially pulled out of the race.

Manly have said they don’t want him, Penrith wouldn’t spend that kind of money on another half, Roosters supposedly won’t deal with Moses.

Hard to see how he gets the kind of money we were offering on the open market without already having a deal elsewhere.

Have you played in a football team ? Even the most basic training splits up into sections . Edge v edge . Middles , dummy halves , halves practice kicking , and nearly always the guys running the team have in depth discussions with the coach .
In RU it’s even more broken down . Scrummaging , lineouts , ruck and mall etc.
the whole training session ia groups breaking off and meetings . There’d be plays that only the dummy half would know with the forwards , there’d be strategy meetings most of the team wouldn’t know outside of the main dot points.
That’s a ridiculous comment .

Nothing you have said here addresses the point I have raised

If any private player chat ever saw the light of day, fair chance that is the end of Galvin’s NRL career. Would never be trusted again!
Jackson Hastings is the prime example of this . He was definitely in the top 36 halves in the game early in his career . No one wanted him after what went down at the roosters and manly …
