OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277 *Released* Career Discussion.

Ok Galvin did not have his best game last night but he was not the Lone Ranger. It’s not like he is doing a MM and tanking, he is just like most other Tigers player, and that is inconsistent.

My worry about him in 2026, is he will have a legally binding contract with club X in his back pocket by than, so he will not have to impress anyone, so he may start to just go through the motions for his last year with us.

When he is on the field he looks a far more complete 1/2 albeit he will need to work hard on his short and long kicking game. His genuine pace from the inside backs is needed by the team.
galvin had played a lot more games, i will review latu IF he gets back on the field for more than 2 games in a row

So anyone got an idea on why him and TDS went in to the sheds so quick at the end?

They wanted to get to the Hawaiian burger place in Brisbane before the rest of the team got there…

It’s gunna be great to read here after each game , over whatever remaining time Galvin has left at the club, all the body language experts reading his vibe and trying to determine if he really wants to be there …
Having Bud in your back pocket may explain a few things.

I doubt the Tigers want him back … but Souffs might have already marked him Return to Sender

You would have to think it’s a possibility although if he was to leave I think Gus is the person who will get his signature..been some whispers around for a few weeks that Gus has had a few chats with the kid
agree dogs or eels however dogs would need to move Mahoney on

Just reading Danny Weasels column in the SMH and he goes to lengths to bag Steve Stratton ( WT podcast presenter and a forum contributor). He is upset that he has been linked to Moses and is anti Tigers. He is a total stain on the game and a waste of space, but what upsets me the most is I actually read the garbage he wrote!

Galvin was turnstyle in defence today . He put huge amounts of pressure on Seyfarth and his centres both bird and Naden .
He was a bit of a passenger tonight .
Latu needs to get his body right . I feel like we would have made a huge mistale
Giving Galvin 1mil. Maybe when he’s 24, so the contract after this next one , but not for this next one . He’s just not even remotely worth it .
Finally someone that sees it like me. He was a turnstyle last week as well.

Thats your first mistake.

As far as the rest of it, I never took to much notice of Weidler, but it's hard to not think he has some sort of agenda when he starts on Bula in that interview about whether he is happy or not at the club given that he is a long way off being able to to go to market. There's an awful lot of players he could ask that to at other clubs who are actually going to be off contract before Bula.

You know, I was watching tonight and by the end had the thought that so far this season he hasn't exactly set the world on fire and done enough to categorise him as potentially one of the higher paid players in the NRL next contract....

Seems a fait accompli his new club will be revealed in time, but to be honest if I were that club I'd be pretty concerned. I don't see much - if any - progress from last season. Mitigating circumstances or not, he isn't better at his job than he was last year.

The worrying thing (for him) is that it is (legally) impossible he has already signed on the dotted line and confirmed his new contract; he must have only agreed in principle, and I don't get the impression there is an overflowing of honour in these dealings.

I remember Addo-Carr was coming back to the tigers and ended up at the dogs. Tigers likely played and used as leverage there, but the issues I see for Galvin are:

1. Wests Tigers are a far stronger proposition in the player market in 2025, no longer pushovers. On the contrary, Richardson appears to have already allocated the money they would've used on his upgrade.

2. His form could see him playing a lot of NSW cup - especially if Latu stays fit and kills it. Worse still, he could get injured.

3. His next club (whichever aquatic serpentine that may be) has no legal obligation to keep his offer on the table - let alone pay him $1M a season - as it cannot technically currently exist.
Doesn't that just fit with his narrative that he feels he will be developed better at another club?
