Madge

TIGERS

It's only taken 10 rounds for Madge, (supposedly a super coach 'with the right players'), to turn the Brisbane Broncos into something approximating the Wests Tigers circa 2019. He would have absolutely flogged those players into abject misery in the offseason, and smashed them in the sheds after every defeat. He's got something about him but he's no supercoach.

I dont buy in to the accolades he got as NSW coach or any Origin coach really. Its an all-stars match with in form players...id say 99% of the win is down to individual performance.

I think he took he reigns at Souths at the right time and he had a tough team that matched his style.

I found Fails from Tiger town to be a documentary series akin to that Stanford Prison Experiment. So many f-bombs and awkward conversations.

He has alot of passion and i think he really wanted to turn around Tigers but his style is polarising.

Only 2 short weeks ago they played probably the best 1st 40 minutes ive seen (v Dogs) ...
They were so far from that last night it was like two different teams

It’s strange what is happening.
They have moments of brilliance but mostly it’s been underperforming based on the team they have.

Without Reynolds they would be totally in trouble

Walsh is having easily his worst year & looks confused
Haas started strong but that’s him in general
Some good performances from Willison, Shibanski/Golly & Paix but the others you could say have regressed.

It’s round 10, be interesting if they can iron out the rubbish and hit their straps back end of the season. Hands down they have the talent to win the comp.

Getting Mam back doesn't fix what is wrong at the Broncos.

In fact, I'd go as far as saying it's partly the reason they are the team they are.

Team full of individually talented players. Not a whole lot of team in that squad though.

They lack a dominant leader on the field when they are in trouble - it's not Reynolds. He has got some individual plays that can change things but he doesnt rally the team when they need it. He is not a natural leader and they turn to one out running. I think thats why they bought Ben Hunt - but it hasn't gelled yet.

I’ll take “What is an early crow for 500, Alex”

They’ll still be thereabouts at the business end.
Thereabouts yes but premiership no, I had doubts madge will get anymore out for them.
The old-style vein popping aggression head spitting in your eye coaching style looks to be the dinosaur approach heading for extinction.

Wondering if they need a coaching style like Benji's to bring the team together so many others have failed, before you get any ideas donkeys bugger off you can't have him.

I think Madge was made for origin.. he can get a team up for a few games.. that's it

He isn't a long term guy..

Oh well, I don't mind seeing broncos struggle it helps our cause for the 8
I don't know if it was madge's coaching that delivered the origin series or could it be he just picked the right team for the job.
