OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277 *Released* Career Discussion.

Maybe.
I watched the Canberra /Bulldogs game with two more evenly matched teams -and now the NRL has pulled back on the stoppages - it shows how quickly one team can get the ascendency over another.
Canberra could have quite easily been 26 nil at half time - a ridiculous no try ruling against Starling - and Bulldogs reversed it with 32 unanswered points in the second half.
Both teams defensive structures completely ineffective when under pressure
Melbourne exploited our weaknesses and with only 3 penalties each and 5- 1 ruck infringements against us their adrenaline kicked in and our fatigue took over. Defence alone won't win you matches in these games and when you lack physicality and speed like we do we got exposed all over the park.

Knights were up 20-0 before the Titans got a sniff. GC then piled on 24 unanswered.
Broncos were up 14-0 before the Rabbitts put 22 unanswered on them.
Raiders 20-0 then 32 unanswered by the Dogs.
Penrith led Cowboys by 12 on two occasions and both times NQ fought back level.
Manly were 0-14 before fighting back level, only to allow 16 unanswered to finish.
These games are all very different to what our blokes did. 64 unanswered and to be fair, Storm left at least another 2 tries out there through poor finishes. That was very lucky to not have been yet another 70 pointer - our 3rd in 4 years.

Everyone except you and me....and a.couple of others.
I think we both gave them a shot at melb last week.
Just trying to stay positive while its all up in the air beforehand....reality hits hard though
100%. There was certainly a whiff that this Melbourne outfit weren’t performing as expected and could be thrown from their game.
I thought they were beatable. Dragons, Dolphins, Raiders all managed to beat them in different ways, whilst depleted Penrith and Rabbitts outfits pushed them hard.
Of course I thought a strong loss was possible…but 64 blot was not on my bingo card for that game at all.

Obviously defence and effort were our major issues yesterday but Galvin was trash. Selfish plays, turns the ball over too much and always pushes the pass. For every good thing he does, he does about ten things wrong.

Benji seriously needs to start changing the game plan. He needs to give Luai proper control of the team and Galvin (if he’s in first grade) needs to be reigned in.

It’s all good to say he can play what he sees but it’s costing the team and pissing away the teams opportunities.
Yes this is all true…it was true last year as well. The kid hasn’t been developed correctly to run the attack of an elite level competition franchise.
Our million dollar offer was crazy. Him knocking it back was even crazier, however I do understand it from this viewpoint.
2025 is going to be a really poor year for him and at this stage, 2026 looks even bleaker.

Agree - just saying it showed how superior they are to us - and in the last couple weeks teams have been piling on points very quickly since they have pulled back on the stoppages.
No one would have predicted.what happened in the Canberra/ Bulldogs game a couple of weeks ago. There is definitely a shift in the speed of the game that makes it difficult to defend. Melbourne have threats all over the park which makes it even more difficult to contain them.
We were comfortably ahead of St George last week too and they came back at us in the 2nd half - they are closer to us in terms of squads.
Basically pointing out a fast game only makes Melbourne more dangerous and us more vulnerable.

No it wasn’t. Take the emotion out of it.

Exactly...
If he wasn't leaving it would be
- It's the Storm, He's young - He needs time, He's allowed to be off some weeks, He's 19 hasn't learned consistency... There'd be a billion excuses.
He's leaving so he's tanking for a release.

He played no worse than he usually does, Inconsistent, Shit passes, running outside backs out of room, missing tackles... It's how he's always played - Even when we win.
It Just stood out more against the best team in the comp.

Theyve manipulated the game left right and centre and now they have it right where they want it.
One weekend we have about 20 sin bins....two weeks later we have comeback city in nearly all games.

Its not real...its a tv product, fake and fabricated

I can’t stand the little prick, and want him gone yesterday. However, I’m not going to make up scenarios that aren’t there. Just because a player has a shocker, doesn’t mean they are intentionally throwing a game. There was zero to suggest that’s what he was doing. Just people’s emotions getting the better of them. The same way people claim incompetent referees are corrupt.

I didnt think he was tanking...the way hes.playing and.what benjis said about how he wants him to play matches up.
Ennis on fox was fairly critical of him

Get rid of him, let him sit on the bench in reserves,
That will take away this tanking talk, I have yesterday realised he is really just that bad, he is blocking Luai, and causing him to play Galvin's game, very few want him in our team anymore,

JUST GET RID OF HIM, CAUSE EVERY LOSS, SUPPORTERS WILL SEE AS GALVIN TANKING,
WHEN ITS NOT THE CASE MAYBE,
MAYBE HE IS REALLY JUST THAT BAD.

I was quite happy to hear that yesterday. Not out of spite or anything like that, but because no matter how many errors he has made in other games some of the commentators seem to think he can do no wrong. Galvin only has to throw a standard pass to someone who does something good with it and according to them it's all Galvin.
The whole rugby league world including his family and manager are building this kid up for a mighty fall. They need to be very careful.

1 bad loss doesn't define this team. They will work hard at training and look to compete which is what they have done in every game excluding Melbourne.

People he has a vindicative manager and a helicopter for a dad. He just wants to play football but at the end of the day we rushed this kid last year when we should not have, The kid has talent but his overall game has to many flaws to it. Would have thought our coaching staff would have corrected it or be working on it.

Didn't have a beer with your dad yesterday mate we both could see this hiding coming, didn't want to spoil this year's perfect 2 from 2
win record lol.

I reckon the whole team threw the game so that melbourne underestimates us in the final
