OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277 *Released* Career Discussion.

He has a way to go. The deal offered was pretty insane. Maybe the last few weeks has shattered him, not sure. He seems a bit confused and rushes moves alot (taps ball on alot), or takes too long with passes. TIming seems off. Might just be a bad patch IDK. But Tigers don't need to develop his game, as playing for Tigers is not in his plans, so probably best to move to Latu ASAP right
Ive got Mason next man up and let Latu heal his body in KOE for a week or two
Either way, after tonites Board decision.which will undoubtedly release Galvin at year end,we will no longer need to invest in him nor commit to the first grade gig.
Its critical that .we need to try others, who cant be any worse than Galvins recent performances btw
After Buds comments applauding Bennett ,hes unlikely to return so we can probably write him off to

unless some club is willing to offer the WT an elite player for an early release, I can’t see any benefit to the WT in cutting him loose early….he is only on $350k next year, so cap space is not an issue in keeping him….he can play exclusively for KOE and be on standby as a backup half for any injuries. playing him in KOE for the rest of his contract would bring up the standard of play for the wests magpies….and of course hold him back from a huge contract for 2026….let the punk fester in KOE for the remainder of his WT contract…unless we get an elite player swap…
Makes sense logically.

But then if he plays NSW Cup the bullying stuff will be played out in the media via Moses and continue to distract the team. Moses has already played his part in stuffing our season.

Not at all..The coach picks the team not the player managers....How would it be bullying if the coach comes out and simply says Latu is playing better than Galvin and until I see it otherwise Galvin will continue to hoine his crafty in KOE....

Mason has played about two NRL games and neither was at 6 … absolute prayer… this year anyway …he is also small and they will run at him all day…. Maybe when they are out of finals contention

Iam not sure Souths would be keen to keep Bud at full freight. At present they are getting a goodish without being a world beater for a very discounted price as we are paying a fair chunk of his salary. If uncle Wayne wanted to extend the deal Iam sure we would expect him to up their contribution by a fair bit

The elite halves look they have time. Galvin looks rushed and has no fluency whenever he is under pressure. In my opinion he is zero chance or becoming a career long elite half. He will be a good player, but not a chance of being elite. We dodged a huge bullet him knocking back that ridiculous offer
Agree. That's been my point for a while with him.

Benji, Moses and even Brooks had this early on in their careers, they didn't learn to play eyes up, it was talent.

Hes a back up at Souths no doubt..probably about 350k to 400k value. But hes happy there ,and Cory is not getting any younger and will incur injuries at 36,so Bud will almost certainly take a haircut and we will probably end up throwing in a bit too

He definitely has an issue under the high ball at 1,but thats not his natural position...just dunno about his defence at this stage which is why Id give him a crack to find out,and btw Galvin is no Terry Randall!
Mitchell wasnt so great last nite either against fast footwork

Other coaches have worked him out and pushing him sideways in attack. As we have no real shape in attack, he is going nowhere. Also, big forwards targeting him and running straight at him.

Galvin is a decent player at this stage, far from the finished product he MAY become. I really don't see his future in the halves though, as much as him and daddy Gal think so.

Anyway, blame Luai before blaming Galvin. Especially for last night.
