Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

My wish would be for us to get Kikau for the remainder of this year and 2 more years thereafter. KPP this year and Taylan may.

Kickau on the left, KPP on the right, Sam Fainu moves to lock where he wants to play, Seyfath and Hunt drop out of the 17.

8. May
9. Api
10.Pole
11.KP
12.Kikau
13.Fainu

14.Douehi
15.Twal
16.Sione
17. Sukkar

12 Years running
- Sh*ttest bench in the comp.

Never heard this before?

Not a lock at all for mine.

He’s kind of hit a wall this year. I was expecting him to be far and away our best player. Second year syndrome has hit him. Nothing to stress about, he’s still only 21, but it’s noteworthy.
Yah I'm not stressed either - still young and plenty of upside. Think he's been playing a bit injured too. He'll hit his straps again.

Not playing terribly either, just not at the standards he set last season.

Sorry it may not be lock in particular, but it's been known he prefers to play on the middle. Benji even said it last year

Odd - He came into the NRL playing Middle - May have even played there in Junior Rep Sides
But he's never really played anywhere but Edge coming through the Grades.

When everyone was talking about him as a Prop, I thought it was Odd - He's an Edge player.
The only decent one at the club.

Just take a look at a few of the teams benches in round 11 and tell me we have the worst bench
Like?
There's plenty of positives in most if not all of them. And players I'd take over ours.
I didn't really need to look - I've been watching our team for a while.
We've had the sh*ttest bench for years.

He played the first couple of games for us in the middle and was outstanding. I would be curious to see how he goes there but like you say, we need him on the edge at the moment unless we sign a couple of backrowers

I won't go on

I'm not trying to be smart, just sometimes I think we just look at our own team and make broad statements without actually comparing to other teams. We do this a lot when talking about back up halves. Unrealistic expectations about how good a back up for a low team should be. Our bench is comparable to most benches when you really look at others

On twitter it’s reporting that Sexton and Mahoney are set to be released from the Bulldogs. They have a good young hooker they want to bring in for Mahoney because his discipline is FAR better. They worry Mahoney will cost them a big game.

I don’t see there being any link. As I have said previously, Mahoney has really done damage to himself going the full niggle. Mainly cos he’s terrible at it. He’s very likely to cost his team a big game doing something stupid. And he isn’t even that good a player where a coach has to put up with it.
You said... Or someone on twitter?

As Tooves would say "Come on"

I'd almost take all of those benches and what they offer over the WT's one you'd listed
Collins is playing Origin FFS
I think its more a case of a lack nouse on NRL Quality players outside WT's.

In what world isn't a bench with Nicolls, Kerr and Lemuelu better than ours of
Naden, Sukkar, Bird and Sione?

He’s also been playing injured. He had an ankle injury early on which he never really looked like he fully recovered.

He also tweaked his knee last game which is probably a symptom of over compensating for the injured ankle.

Second row is his position. Once he’s fully developed and learns his lines, he will be a nightmare for halves trying to tackle him.

I think those things plus we're missing Olam tbh, those two together kept defences in two minds worrying about Olam charging or Sammy charging
