OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277 *Released* Career Discussion.

He’s untouchable. That’s something that can’t be argued.
It doesnt change any outcome on Galvin, but Gus will be personally disappointed about his very public and transparent exposure as a self serving bullshitter
Lacking cred will come back and bite him at some stage

This is probably the most accurate post throughout this mess. You can’t deny his ability. Proof of that was the pedestal he was put on by our supporters, all of the justifications about why he hadn’t re-signed. He’s a POS, no doubt about that, but you can’t deny he’s got the ability. Like you, I’ll be hoping he doesn’t amount to much, but I can’t see that happening. He’s already been earmarked for Origin. And we all know, rep teams a lot of the time come down to politics. And this guy already has friends in high places.

He lacks pace and opposition defences have learnt to game plan for that in Year 2 and cut down on his time with ball in hand in open space … he is also a defender that gets dominated …but I guess unlike his pace problem, he can work on this and get stronger as he gets older…. I honestly doubt he will go on to be the type of player of say Tedesco or even Mitch Moses quality …

Yah at first I thought these guys are being way too polite - but I think they're probably just happy he's gone?

Terrell May said he was very close to him 😂 Find that hard to believe.
I imagine the players have been read the riot act re Galvin. No public disparaging comments, no social media posts, keep it polite and courteous. Privately I hope they have all circled the game against the Dogs as the time to make some points.

sorry mate that's not a normal occurrence. had a few difficulties in the lead up. if you listen back to previous eps you'll hear as much.

Galvin requested a release from Western Suburbs (after we paid a transfer fee to get him out of Parramatta) when it became clear that Luke Laulili'i would be playing fullback, not him. he obviously ended up playing left edge back row and the rest is history.

red flags were there from the start.
So is my understanding of all this wrong

I thought that we were were paid a transfer fee, as in Parramatta paid Wests... Because they didn't want him?

But are you saying that Wests paid Parramatta?

Don't even waste the mental energy hoping he fails. He won't.
The kid's a star.
A bit of a penis head, but a star.
We don't know what position he will excel at but it will happen and probably sooner than later now he's at a top 4 team.
What gets under our skin as Tigers supporters is why do they feel the need to desert their junior club so quickly and take the easy path there is not enough loyalty coming from a lot of these young dudes anymore.

There would be a lot more satisfaction all sticking together and dragging their club out of the doldrums and up the ladder, they just don't seem up for the fight.
Think we need to find the ones that do and make them our priority, yeah I know not as easy as it sounds, can't always believe what players say when money is involved.

That's good.
Need to show as much support towards Galvin publicly as possible. In private, make him eat dirt.
There seems to be a group of players who are supporting him within the tigers.. but others who can't stand him.. wtf is going on.. I really want to know what the dirt is on the bullying claims that we don't want to get out

Pretty sure Galvin & his Dad approached Wests after Parramatta had opted to play Blaize Talagi ahead of him in his preferred 5/8 position but as he was still contracted to Parra Wests had to pay a transfer fee of like 5k to release him.
