Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

I reckon he’d love the challenge personally. Just don’t think we’d fork out $1M+ for a prop going off what Richo said about potentially AFB last year.

I dunno about that in regards to Haas … he will be in too much demand by teams that are already great …I also think Richo is wrong about that comment although I have heard similar from Bennett to…

They were unhappy under Seibold Walters and now Maguire. Bennett is the only coach who seems to be able to get the best from them. - ridiculous with the amount of talent
Bennett is an excellent player manager and communicator. He has been able to reinvent himself over the years so that he can communicate to his audience and perhaps that explains his longevity. Walters had success at the Broncos for a year. I am happy Marshall is close to Bennett as he can learn from one of the best.

payne haas’ manager telling all the clubs to get their cheque books ready… player unrest at the broncos. someone like him would blow up the player market.
Honestly for him, I would break 1.5m

It's a huge call and it would mean he would be out for Origin. But you start having May + Haas in your starting pack... Suddenly things start looking very different.

Ofcourse Easts may decide to pick him up for 800k a season, 🙁

He will end up at the Roosters or Bulldogs ,,., he is the most valuable forward in the game and if he comes available on the open market no other team will get near them

I never hated him … but just found it amusing that last year people started saying that the WT never should have sacked him , when in 4 years here he never made the finals and took the team backwards every season … no coach is surviving that
Yep I'm with you on this. When we did get rid of him all the talk was about it being the club's and player's fault that he couldn't turn us around when it was clear, particularly from Tales from Tiger Town, that Madge is actually a pretty clueless coach. He has one way of communicating and coaching and if it doesn't work there seems to be no plan B. Like you I don't hate him, I just think he is a bit of myth and was happy he went to the Broncos, because yes I hate them.

his tenture at WT was always written off as “oh he just didn’t have the cattle that’s why it was a failure” however he now has the most talent roster on paper and we’re equal with them this year.

Souths got rid of him three years after he coached them to their first premiership in 40 years…and now he is struggling at a club with a top 3 roster in the comp…something is wrong with his coaching game
