Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Seyfarth is a team man first, has a great attitude to training and competes every week. Not much to say about him because he gets the job done and his capacity for hard work is a good influence on our younger players. He is a squad player and is renumerated as such which offers the club good value under the cap. If players of more talent arrive, he may move out of the 13. I'm sure he is happy to just be in the 17. If you don't believe me, Marshall has noted these qualities when his re-signing was announced for 2 years in 23. Seyfarth admitted Marshall was his hero so you can imagine he wants to play for him.
I’d be happy to have Baby G as a benchy if we had a better run on player, and that’s the problem. Something people seem to forget this close to a loss.
Baby G is the best we have so we have to run with him bcoz of the qualities you mentioned, It comes down to roster management in every position and forecasting wants and needs. We have lacked in that area, Our roster always seems to have holes in it. This year not having a single srf that would start at any other club is hurting us. Not to mention we are also a prop and/or lock light too.
An actual Halfback, not a 6, 3, or 1, who thinks he’s a 7, but an actual halfback, would be nice. We’ve had 2 in 25 years, the first was a Prince and the second (15yrs later), should have been named Judas.

Sukkar has overtaken Seyfarth for me already, and he’s only been average.

Sorry our starting prop made 1 run for 7 meters on a night we were down to playing Naden in the backrow and all anyone is talking about is Seyfarth ?
Because every man and their dog knows Hunt is a bench player being played as a starter because of our shit depth.

Seyfarth is being talked about because he’s been dogshit for most of his career yet is given a pass by a group of morons on here because he ‘tries really hard’

Losing Pole and now Twal we will need some signings very soon as we are getting very light.

If we can nab 3-4 more first grade players, we will be fine waiting on the young ones to develop.
Yep. Klemmer would be handy right now, even if he was playing NSW Cup until now.

I believe they were worried about the clause and wanted to free up money for the Galvin upgrade. Backfired big time.

All the forwards we have are useful and would find places in other squads - as have Bateman and Klemmer - just don't have enough of them once injuries take hold. The answer is not to dump them but we need to strengthen the squad - with very little availability

On the plus side, how much fun is it to watch another Michael Maguire close to tears press conference.
The bloke has a team with attacking threats across the park and he's spouting exactly the same rubbish as when he was coaching us.
To any Broncos player reading this, here's a tip, coach yourselves and just nod when Maguire talks.
Why the hate for Maguire? I don’t get it.

This is professional sport… trying hard and having a great attitude alone isn’t enough … ultimately success is about making a contribution that leads to the team winning games … I would suggest that whilst this has been demonstrated from time to time by Sayfarth, it hasn’t been often enough in my opinion … he is not the only one mind you … but he is the only one I’m reading about here after yet another loss being over hyped up as I eat my breakfast this morning ..
You're reading about him because supporters are hurting and one or two want to apportion blame. I believe the poster who originated this also pointed the finger at Sukkar.

Suli, Doueihi, Pappenhuyzen and Seyfarth played in the same Balmain SG Ball team. It was obvious all four were NRL quality even at that stage of their career, as it was for Pole and Sukkar in their respective sides.

Some want to blame and others want to make excuses …

The results tell the story for me in black and white … I don’t do sentimentality or moral victories any more …

Me neither, I like Madge. He was nothing but positive here, trying to lift this team out of the dump hole they’ve been in forever. Like many before and after, he failed, but he didn’t do the dirty on us and was fully committed in his time here. We sacked him, he didn’t leave us in the lurch.

I hope we have plans to resign To’a way before Nov 1. He’s becoming an elite centre can see why Benji has persisted with him for so long, injury free he’s only going to get better.
Interesting the Broncos have Deine Mariner stuck out on the wing with Shibasaki at centre. Mariner would look good in WTs' colours. He is one of the best young centres in the NRL.
