LIVE GAME Round 13 v Cowboys

Live Game Discussion
Well fellow forum posters , I have decided that this will be my last post , our team is a mess
Letting the little shit walk for $170,000 is a joke
Letting other players just leave without any other players coming in
Not so going MAYs brother
The club and the players are like chooks without heads
I think many have said benji can’t coach, I thick they may be right
Richo has done a good job but I think he has gone of the tracks , nothing coming our way , injuries have kicked in because t what do we have to replace them bigger all
It has been a pleasure been with you all , but I can’t see a way out , so that’s it for me
Be safe and best wishes
Why now and not any time in the last three years. We’ve actually won games this year. Weird timing.

Hunt getting pulled & not put back in might be a statement move. Particularly when you lose Twal for the game.

Bird gone blown up by Luai & got hooked too.

Depth in the forwards is an issue, but the cattle is there if you use it.

8. May
9. Koroisau
10. Sione Fainu
11. Sam Fainu
12. Sukkar
13. Bird

14. Kit Lualili'i
15. Seyfarth
16. Hunt
17. Hope/ Da Silva

We are short middles, so take your psuedo wide player/middle & play him solely as a middle (Seyfarth).

This is assuming Twal, Pole are unavailable. Could really make a statement on Hunt & use Rahme or Murray from KOE.

So if I’m coach and know there is a bias( subconscious or otherwise) v my team I coach them to be very aware and probably over compensate. By analysing the issues then you will see the patterns. No point in going through this “ poor us” exercise week after week and not trying to address it at the root cause.
Unless we think it will stop, then it’s just another hurdle our club has to climb in our ride up the ladder.
I would argue that some of the over compensating was tried in a number of recent games and it led to the team losing the ruck and us getting rolled. No quick fix other than dominating more in defence and not letting them get us on the back foot.

Yes … this is fair … I hoped that we might be further along with finding that balance now we are in Week 13 …there still seems to be a plan to maintain the grind as long as possible

I know that they can’t just play hot potato all game , but they won’t win very often trying to out grind teams either … they just don’t have the forwards to win that way this season …. They have got to take a few more risks with the pill…
Doesn’t help when a key spine member bails mid season. But I blame our clunkiness more on losing the collision than combinations. I’m trying to think of ways to rework our forward pack, maybe Samuela to the middle, May to lock.

Seyfarth didn't make the noticeable mistakes yesterday that he normally does.

One of his better games of late.
Can't agree mate.

Off the ball, his decision-making, execution and particularly lack of ruck control, hurts us far more often than people realise.

If a 'lost' ruck is a quick play the ball/markers out of position, then I would say that of all the 'lost' rucks we have each game, Seyfarth would be involved in a third to a half of them.

Reverse the situation.
We are hammering their line, but can’t get any momentum as one of their experienced players is purposefully stuffing us up with illegal ruck play. He does it 3 times in 3 sets .
Are you telling me you wouldn’t be screaming for him to be sent?
Yeah for sure I would be screaming my head off, but after he go sent I would be laughing my head off at him for being sent without even copping a warning and thinking what a great leg up the ref gave us for something that doesn't happen in any other game let alone to advantage the Wests Tigers.

It may very well be up to the ref to bin someone for repeated infringements in that situation but please show me where in the rule book it specifically says that it is a mandatory requirement after 3.

I highly doubt that such a specific ruling that Sutton quoted exists anywhere other than in Sutton's and most likely Anusley's minds.

You are incorrect on the Doueihi one. That was obvious, and was a scoring opportunity. He prevented a possible try through illegally stopping the runner. Professional foul and sinbin.
Yeah the point is they are saying becuse laybutt was Looking for the ball he is not responsible for his actions .. so was douhri and he was held responsible..

May or Twal at #13 do a lot of similar things. Sam Fainu is the best 'contact' forward we have & could be an intimidating player if developed right.

Would love a middle that has May, Pole & Sam Fainu starting & Sione Fainu, Twal &....yes, Jack Hetherington on the bench. That feels a lot stronger.

Then KPP & Fifita out on the edges.

I’d run with this next weekend.

8. Sione
9. Api
10. Samuela
11. Sukkar
12. Bird
13. May

Hunt, Kit and Seyfarth off the bench. Seyfarth a short stint with a license to play angry.

They’re both on 500k plus … I like them both (cue Batman’s parent trying to crucify me). But I like them competing for the 17th spot in a squad not in the starting pack .
Seriously 500k plus, they should be on no more than 350k and depth only not starting 17 unless due to injuries or suspension.
