LIVE GAME Round 13 v Cowboys

Live Game Discussion
If only we jagged the win....
Can you imagine the headlines.... it would have been a great F U Galvin. But any way we went came close everyone know we were hard done by the officials.
So I still think it's a small f u to Galvin because we could have easily capitulated into a massive loss.
Just my positive spin.👊

Luai intentionally did it the first time to give Bula time to get out of the ruck. Not sure what Hunt’s excuse was and I thought the ref was trigger happy on the 3rd one.
No excuse for Hunt. Didn't make the effort 'cause he was gassed. Early in the game he's gassed because he doesn't train hard enough. Do we have coaches, trainers that might be responsible for monitoring fitness, and attempting to improve if found not up to standard?

There is more than a sense of irony in your comment “ Douehi has been really good for us defensively”. Now who’d have thought that would ever be written in 2025.
He’s certainly not dynamic but he’s now solid and kicks goals but I don’t think we can expect much more than we’re getting.
Not a line breaker, nor a setter upperer, he’s holding up an end for us and he is already a potential utility coz he can play 1,3,6 or 7.
He’s the closest thing we’ve had to a Ross Conlin, or a Darryl Halligan, but we cant stick him on the wing coz Turuva and Skelton have that locked up.
Doueihi. The modern day Luke Covell.

Agree with me or not but I had no issue with Luai and Douhei going to the bin. If they were playing for the opposition we would have been calling for there heads. The only one I did disagree with was the Nandi try. Thought whoever was underneath impacted Turuvas ability to compete for the ball.
agree . It’s what the rule was brought in for ….

Came back to pre season early apparently. Is there a Krispy Kreme somewhere around the CoE?

Your right mate. Everyone could see Mason was a better option we didn't lose anything with dumb and dumder leaving. We restart agian. But we will be a better team without him

Sutton basically handed the game to the Cows
A sin bin after 10 mins ? Savage !
Nanai try was a NO TRY as Turuva was taken out by a Cowboy not competing for the ball .Sent up no try and bunker overrules
Needs a bloody please explain
Referees wouldn't dare hit the Cowboys in Townsville that hard
Totally agree, Turuva jumps for the ball over a defender ,that yes had eyes for the ball but never was attempting to catch the ball , more like just look and take out our player . + The sin bins warrantied or not take all that out and it's a different result. Means shi.t now though.good fight back but absolutely shouldn't get to that point ....

Well I have to agree, what irritates people so much is that he isn't biased when it comes to support for the team, he doesn't look for excuses when it comes to dealing with their failings, in other words he tells it like it is and most people have trouble dealing with the truth when it is presented in such a harsh and unbiased manner.

What irritates people even more is that he appears to take pleasure in doing it. 🤣
What irritates people most is he's an A grade moron.

What's so frustrating is the way we played the last 15 mins we would have towelled up virtually every team in the comp
If we could produce that for say 60 out of the 80 mins we would win most games .The 2 sin bins didn't help but it seems we have to be down by plenty to flick the switch and turn on the razzle dazzle !

We should definitely asking for some very public please explains, also i think we should highlight Sutton/Klein as serial controversial calls against us. It seems like very much a case of deliberate not giving us the rub of the green or even just the correct calls.
Its hard enough to win a game let alone away from home and with the ref and the bunker with obvious bias against us. Both bins were debatable the Nanai try was a clear no try imo, and i cant recall the one where Mason was impeded.
The fact that Klein is given the bunker ref job for us in Townsville after what he did to us in Townsville is a deadset disgrace . It’s basically the NRL Get that into ya wests Tigers .. and him overruling the no try call for when a ball chaser takes out the legs of a catcher is scandalous .. the entire rule was made to prevent that . It is farcical , borderline cheating

What do you mean. we won title in 2005?
By chance, not design.

It wasn't because WT was a well run club.. probably had more to do with the way the game was officiated that year and timing with some up and coming young players.

Let's put some context around the premiership...

2000 - 10th
2001 - 12th (of 14)
2002 - 13th
2003 - 13th
2004 - 9th

After we won the grand final, it took us 5 years to make the semis again..

2006 - 12th
2007 - 9th
2008 - 10th
2009 - 9th
2010 -3rd
2012 - 4th

And we haven't made the semis finals since...

Weve played in the semi finals, 3 times in 25 years.. including the GF win.

If anything, the GF covered the cracks and has been detrimental for us ever since

We haven't been a well run club, no matter which way you want to spin it
