Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Just a thought, but if the million we were going to give Galvin goes to Haas and then some, do we then have the best front row in the comp?
Easily the best starting front rower, perhaps not the best front row rotation. With how May has been used but both might just play the 80.

It’s hard though , you have kids in your junior system like Phoenix Godinet , who you’ve had eyes on since they were 13/14 , and then they sign with your worst enemy when they’re 16/17 . You now have to deal with the grub .
Same as Bula really . He signed with Moses after we negotiated his contract.
He offers the players heaps external of on the field . It’s why they all go to Cove.
The funny thing is we just negotiated a new contract with him for Sukkar .
My guess is? He only does this shit , if the player and thier family gives him the green light .
The Galvin family are as much to blame , if not more so . Same as the bulldogs .
I honestly don’t think we miss much with him . I honestly don’t think he’s anything near the level of 1mil . I don’t see what everyone else is seeing .
I was thinking when Mason went over last night . When had the superstar torched a defence with him alone ? The only time I can remember is the eels game last year . Other than that , he’s been out through a few half holes and got an offload … cool that’s edge forward stuff .
When has he actually split the defence ? Since that 1 time ?
Some good insights- thank you.

If moses is offering services during the players tenure, i think clubs have the resources to replicate same.

Otherwise im sure his defence is that hes operating under the rules. A bit like banks when they went beserk charging people for using ATMs until the regulator reeled them in.

I agree with your assement of the Galvin family. They wouldnt know a thing about coaching but all they are getting is whinging from their "cash cow."

The dogs, well its kind of expected clubs will be ruthless. If it wasnt them, it was the eels.

Heath is a work in progress but with an immaculate pedigree. Better footy minds than mine can determine what he can achieve. But before the match i paid a tribute to him and i wish him every success.

KPP looks to be an exciting signing.

Jury still out on Benji in my view, but he desperately needs some wins.

Congrats @Tucker for calling the grand comeback early last night when we were still being flogged within an inch of our lives.

I guess every dog has his day!!

I dont know if i was more surprised that the side was having a go or tucker had gone all sage on us.

Keep it up nuncle.

Unpopular opinion, but I think Sam Fainu could be a better prop than Terrell May. He offers the killer instinct our middle lacks.
I agree. I think props are changing form just big men to fast, big men with footwork and a motor. Samuela has this. He also play led u/19 SOO as a middle.

With Pole and Twally out for next week due to Cat 1 HIA, it will be interesting to see Benji’s selections but it could be a winner. Sukkar has shown enough for me to be starter on an edge to replace Samuela.

Bronx should hammer the tits next week, then they have the bye and another home game. They will be back on deck and the courier mail will be in overdrive rubbish narrative columns spewing from the printers at HQ.
Mmm I'm not so sure they'll be able to beat the Titans, then after the bye they have Sharks, Warriors and Dogs, there could be big noise around Madge by the end of June.

I think that squad needs a 'piss in ya pocket' type of coach to give them the confidence to play their best, Holbrook would be ideal.

I forecast a Heath Mason announcement tomorrow, promotion to top 30 in 2026 on a 1 year deal. Odds are $1.20.

Could even be coupled with the external signing of KPP on a 3 year deal.

Monday 4pm. Just an opinion.
Deserves more than a year. You’d think two years should be standard.

Can someone tell me how hard it is to sign a few forwards til end of year? No matter how shit they are, they can’t be worse than having a winger in your backrow

This is getting absolutely ridiculous. Give a junior a go over a 30 year old winger playing backrow.

No offence, our club has been and continues to be poorly operated.

I’ll stick by them because I have to, but we aren’t anywhere near being a strong team.
