It's a mental affliction that causes the need for a forum of anonymous people to recognise their anonymous self as correct, stemming from an inadequate sense of self worth.

I guess most other teams fan forums have match winning performances , Top 8 expectations and premiership aspirations to discuss …

The club has had a terrible last decade …the likes of which is probably the worst 10 year period of any club in my 40+ years following the game,,,The people still left here are the rusted ons, and will be here most probably for life … but I’m assuming that most of us are old barstads ….the club desperately needs even some medium success for a couple of years to breathe some new life into the joint

I have actually listened twice.
It isn’t for me as I spend time on here and LU and as such usually everything said on the pod is something I’ve already heard and/or had discussions about days beforehand. Additionally, your quality isn’t great, and your offsider used to come in here spreading misinformation for a laugh, raising questions about credibility.
I prefer discussions on forums.

The situation with Galvin is not being analysed truthfully on here. His interview last night contradicted a vast percentage of the narrative being spread by Wests Tigers fans.
He doesn’t hate this club, loves and respects Benji as a man and as a player - maybe not so much as a coach, but he has never shitcanned him. He is still on speaking terms with Luai and all the boys. His ex CEO and coach, as well as some players are on record saying he is a good kid from a good family, yet I constantly hear and read from our fans that he is a glory hog, money grubbing, egotistical sack of shit who thinks he is far too good for this club….and his father is even worse!
This whole thing is a joint cluster-F. The club has had its head up its arse in the way it brought him into top grade and ignored fluorescent red flags, the Bulldogs and Eels have been underhanded, the NRL toothless, the management company manipulative, and the kid himself naive and immature.
HOWEVER….We have understood ALL of this for well over a month now, yet day after day after day this narrative of victimisation and “woe is me” permeates throughout the fanbase. There’s a conspiracy against us, with the refs cheating us and the NRL wanting to keep us down. Go on most game day threads and there are mentions of this within the first couple of pages after kickoff every single week, year after year. It’s tiresome. It’s weak.
This isn’t the club I have supported for 4 decades. Our call was Balmain boys don’t cry. There’s no way that saying holds true to this club.

It's been my experience across many years and many businesses that 99% of people if given the choice would prefer to be your friend and help you than harm you.
People are just conditioned through the media to believe there's evil and aggression around every corner.

Yep …and that was following a pretty poor period for both Balmain and Wests for several years before the merger ..

Even those three years of “success “ ..they were down near the bottom until halfway and charged home on a good run of wins …. They have never had a season where they have been at the top of the table the whole year

In real life maybe. Online, people more often than not hate each other, or at the very least, are very quick to get their backs up.

Sadly, both Balmain and Wests were struggling clubs. As someone else said recently, it’s in the walls. The Benji thing for example, the problems run way deeper than who the coach is. Yet it’s those problems that gave us a coach like Benji.

The moment you are shown, in a straightforward and logical manner, that your argument is incorrect or misguided, you ghost the conversation.

You partially float around to snipe in silly, contrarian comments then disappear into the wind when pushed to legitimise what you're saying.

You also post well too, which I have no trouble with supporting or agreeing with.

But you're a contrarian through and through. You're welcome to better back up your arguments with evidence in the future if you don't like my subjective, completely irrelevant assessment.

Yes hard to argue … we see the mind sets that exists to this day amongst the dinosaurs still on the 2 boards …( Magpies and Balmain)

I’m not one to want the WT to give up though (like some gave said) …but it’s still a tough slog that they have ahead of them..

The first step towards a winning culture is locking down the youth coming through. We’ve lost some excellent potential long term first graders in the past year. That tap needs to be turned off.
We can’t lose TDS, Bula, Mason etc…we must keep the Fainus and Lauli’is together. Pole must be kept…he is giving every impression this is his last contract with us. Young Makasini and Haywood coming through need to be properly managed. Don’t throw them to the wolves like Matamua and co copped.

Losing Galvin the way we did is a wake up call. I’m interested to see if we jumped out of bed, or merely hit the snooze button as per usual.
