Charlie Murray #300

East Tigers, pathway club.

Solomona Fataape, Tristan Hope and now Charlie Murray.

One thing, the Tigers debut players who'd likely never get a chance elsewhere.

Reuben Porter, Thomas Freebairn, these Q cup guys.... there is a chance at the Tigers for these journeymen types.
They’re probably hoping to strike gold like the storm did with Max King ,Matt King ,and Souths did with Walker .
With the 2 expansion teams coming there’s going to be a lot of teams trying to find diamonds in the rough .
Can’t all be the roosters and hoard half the schoolboy teams until they’re 23.

An achievement so many wish they could achieve but never will.
At the very least it’s a recognition of his efforts in KOE . He’s had to beat out Jackson Rahme , Porter , Johannson etc. a lot of these guys got a run with the trial teams

Let's make the partnership official.

On the extended bench. Well deserved!
I named Charlie Murray on my bench , in the predicted team for Penrith game.

Noticed he had been added to the website team profiles a few days ago.

See what he's got, up against the best club albeit they're struggling.

I'm thinking we'll see a few of these lower graders move into the top 30, out of desperation, sadly.

Hopefully a few diamonds though like @Lestronge said.

Am I correct in recalling that players 100 and 200 only played a handful of games? Anyone have the info at hand?

I was fortunate enough to teach Charlie when I was working on the Gold Coast. He was such a great kid. Hard working, well mannered and kept the others in line.

He was a gun for Marymount, the side had much more confidence when he played. I didn't see all that much of him, but he played lock and 5/8 in the games I saw.

Really happy for him. He's a great kid and I'm stoked his opportunity in first grade is with us.
